FINALLY, a fest for us Vegetarians! All the food looked and snelled phenomenal. The food my husband and I shared was just as amazing as it's been for the past 10 yrs we've been doing. Extremely friendly people everywhere we turned, that includes visitors, the staff, and all the venders!! We met a gentleman there and we actually shared our food, not even thinking twice about it!! It was a little pricey but I totally get why. To be healthy sometimes you have to spend that extra dollar. We will be returning as long as this fest keep coming to us.

Free admission! Water was $2! For a festival- I’ve never seen water at that price. Especially ones that come in a recyclable aluminum bottle. In fact, all their plates, cups and utensils were compostable which is awesome. Free admission to hear speakers, free food demos. The food was reasonably priced, not to mention delicious. People were friendly. Live band. Activities for kids. The next veggie fest can’t come soon enough.

A Soulful Celebration of Health, Food, and Community!

Veggie Fest Chicago blew me away. I’ve attended many festivals over the years, but nothing quite compares to the energy, intention, and sheer heart this one offers. From the moment I walked in, I was surrounded by warmth, positivity, and a shared passion for healthy, conscious living.

The food? Incredible. So many vendors, all offering unique, delicious plant-based options—from comforting Indian curries to raw vegan desserts to innovative meat alternatives I didn’t even know existed. It wasn’t just a food fest—it was a true celebration of what plant-based cuisine can be.

Beyond the food, the speakers and wellness workshops were deeply enriching. I walked away with new insights on meditation, holistic health, and conscious living. The meditation tent in particular felt like a sanctuary—a rare, peaceful moment in the middle of a bustling crowd.

What I loved most, though, was the community. Families, longtime vegans, curious newcomers—all gathered together in such harmony. No judgment, just joy.

Veggie Fest is more than an event—it’s an experience. If you care about health, compassion, and living a more intentional life, do not miss this next year. Truly a gem in the...

Veggie Fest Chicago is one of the most vibrant and well-loved festivals in the Naperville/Lisle area, and it’s easy to see why it has been going strong for so many years! This is not just a food festival—it’s a full celebration of healthy, conscious, and joyful living.

The highlight for many is the incredible variety of vegetarian cuisine. With dozens and dozens of food booths representing flavors from around the world, there’s something delicious for everyone—whether you’re a long-time vegetarian or just curious to explore. The quality and creativity of the food is always impressive.

In addition to the food, Veggie Fest offers fantastic cooking demos and engaging workshops that focus on holistic health, wellness, meditation, and the benefits of a vegetarian lifestyle. It’s a great opportunity to learn from experts, discover new recipes, and connect with like-minded people.

The atmosphere is family-friendly, inclusive, and uplifting, with live music, children’s activities, and a strong sense of community.

If you’ve never been to Veggie Fest, I highly recommend experiencing it for yourself. It’s a fun, flavorful, and inspiring weekend that leaves you feeling good...

It was great a vegan festival 10 years back. Then it got taken over by people pushing dairy. In one of the tents where they give talks, a moderately overweight 17 year old Indian girl gave a talk proselytizing about vegetarianism while rationalizing why dairy is OK. Then a big heavy yoga guru in traditional Indian garb with a big wide-eyed blank smiley stare on his face walked slowly through the audience waving. Some people in the audience were going nuts like he was a rock star. It was pretty weird. I saw one women order what she thought was a vegan chili cheese dog. She asked if it was vegan, and the big bearded Indian guy shook his head and looked down as if he was exasperated before explaining that the large mound of finely shredded cheese on her dog was real cheddar cheese. In my personal opinion, there is nothing wrong with eating animal products generally if that is what you're into. But I don't think a Veggie Fest should not be pushing dairy. I'm not into meditation, which they now promote heavily. I'm not that into mock meat, which tends to be vegan junk food, but it's available if you're interested. The live music is always good, and there is...
