Rite Brew — Local services in Little Chute

This plug has been a long time coming. Ritebrew is by far my favorite homebrew store.

Pros: In the 14 orders over the last 2 years I have not had a single problem. Nothing has broken in shipment. As a matter of fact, the boxes are usually in really good shape for having been shipped. (Note: I'm in-state, so it's not given much time to be abused by Spee-Dee.) The quick grain selector is phenomenal. Being able to build a grain bill for a batch without having to travel to the LHBS, or order extra grains, is amazing. Plus the option to mill/double mill is great. Prices are very reasonable. The kits work well / taste good. I have done several with no problems. Wyeast pre-order can provide the freshest yeast (If, unlike me, you can plan a little in advance.)

Cons: I'm being nitpicky - Hops: The options on Ritebrew are either 1 oz or 1 lb packages. In some cases, the 4oz packs that are offered elsewhere are nice (Which then beats out Ritebrew's pricing per oz). It's missing some newer/experimental hops that can be found elsewhere. That is not, however, a big deal; most places do not stock those experimental hops. If you're following a recipe to a T, the exact grain you need might not be available. I have not come across anything that lacked an adequate substitute.

Some of the best prices on home brew equipment in the entire market are just the tip of the iceberg with this home brew store. I have been ordering through Neil for several years now and have stopped using all other home brew supplier stores. Neil has averaged 10 minutes from time of order received to the order being ready for pick up. Also, I have never had a single issue with any order I have ever placed with him. I’ve ordered from Rite Brew numerous times and always had a stellar experience. Whether it’s equipment/parts, custom malt bills (that they will pre combine for you, down to the ounce), or whole bags of grain the prices and shipping can’t be beat. I live about 100 miles away and my orders usually show up 1-2 days from when I pull the trigger. I also picked up my order once when I was in the Green Bay area anyway, and that was a great experience also.
