West Marine — Local services in Little Egg Harbor Township

Am not good writing review since am accustom to reading them ! So bare with me I got a quick notice from just an early call at 9am from the shop that’s painting my jetski and I had to act quick I decided to check my local west marine store which I won’t say it’s name or store I had a horrible experience with my local one there was 2 people in the store but the guy in the cash register had a million dollar patient with me I explained to the guy am hard of hearing and being so the mask makes it hard for me to understand so that guy in the cash register in the front help me out a bunch he could see that little egg harbor in NJ had it maybe because it’s due to the system west marine has that has a certain range. I called about 7 west marine I didn’t care about the distance I had to drive to get it but non had it ! ( But here where this review gets 5 Stars ) so I have previously called West marine in Little Egg Harbor New Jersey and I had the model number the guy said they didn’t have it in stock but after 10 minutes the guy called me back which he didn’t have too he could had easily just founded the product and be lazy and not bother calling back But he did !!!!!! Even tho I was already willing to drive the miles this guy Lighten my day with just a simple call back made me remember what’s a good costumer service with a good store it felt great !!! It feels good !! So I arrive there keep in mind I drove 1 hour and 40 minutes I live 1 hour and 20 minutes away North Brunswick is my home when I called little egg harbor I explain to Ed that I live that far after less than 2 minutes after his call I ask him can I pay over the phone he said don’t worry man I’ll hold it for you until closing just give me you name in less than 10 second he said matter of fact you sound like a cool guy I’ll hold for you until tomorrow if you like you don’t need to pay ahead ! Once I got there I got to meet this guy nice and humble guy straight forward and just doing his best helping out costumer ! Once I checked out the item I needed I gave the guy $20 dollars tip he didn’t take it I tried 3 time trying to convince him to take it because once thing just going to work to work another is too actually help a costumer he didn’t take it ! I still wish he would had taken the $20 dollars as a reward of his good job but he didn’t. I've been to this store twice. The first time to buy marine speakers. They had several in display but none in stool and the clerk said she can unscrew the display and sell them. Wasted about an hour. Went there today with the intention of spending abbr $150 on Barry's things I needed and to return a $20 tube of caulk (unopened in the original bag). We didn't have the receipt and were told tough luck since we're not members; not even store credit and wouldn't look it up by the card we used. Went to Wal-Mart and got identical and better items for a lot less than West Marine's "sale prices". I'll never...
