Naples Pizza & Restaurant — Restaurant in Little Egg Harbor Township

Went there 12/16/23, changed review from 5 stars to 4stars based on our food. White pizza didnt have enough Ricotta & too much garlic juice, slices were floppy. Margherita pizza was nice except no noticable flavor. Antipasto was okay, but the vinegar/oil dressing was not fitting for antipasto. Mexicans cook & make the food unfortunately :(. Bread was nice. Onion rings were delicious! Waitress was great! We went dinner time on a Sunday2021 and ordered an Italian sub, a sausage & peppers sub, and a Philly cheese steak sub. Many customers came in & got their food quickly. They play Italian music! Love it! In Italian language, not Sinatra, Sinatra is not Italian music. I was able to speak Italian with an owner & it helps me practice. Anytime you can find an Italian restaurant or Pizzeria with actual Italian owners who speak Italian that is a prime starting point. My cousin Frank who is a local couldn't stop raving about the sausage and peppers sub. My sub was very good. My son said his Philly cheesesteak was okay. The young men working behind the counter were fast and on point. We can't wait to go there again and have a full dinner service to fully give a real review. Naples pizza is delicious! We had the "Naples Special" Pizza a few times and it was an authentic tasting, amazing pizza. The veggie toppings: mushrooms, peppers and onions all tasted like fresh vegetables where used and the sausage tasted homemade. I am a life long New York resident, who visits Tuckerton often, and can be highly critical of pizza when I travel. The tomato sauce, fresh mozzarella cheese, and the pizza dough all passed the test! The man behind the counter was definitely "on the ball" and knew who I was and which order was mine immediately, each time I have been there. Staff overall was most friendly and helpful, and the food was prepared and ready for pick up super fast. We also have had the meatball parmigiana hero and veal parmigiana hero which where both large, nicely made and delicious. The hero bread was very fresh. Simply said.....This one is a WINNER! Naples Pizzeria is a great place to get a pizza. They have a complete Italian restaurant menu which I plan on trying several dishes. Used to be great but they are going downhill. On 1 Sunday night a couple of months ago, I ordered a side of broccoli with my meal. It is really good here. I was told they were out of broccoli. Can you imagine? BTW, Acme is 2 doors away. Go pick up a couple of heads to get you through. Portion sizes were always good especially for the prices but they are cutting back on that as well. That night I had chicken marsala and instead of 2 generous pieces, I had two small like 1 cutlet cut in half. Running low on chicken on a Sunday night? Again Acme 2 doors away. Aside from that, we all know it is hard to get workers today but spend a little more time training. They are lost when you start asking questions, (where's Jonah when you need him)? Don't lose your vision fellows. Stick to what made you great once. BTW, your marsala used to be the best by far. Seems like you cut back on the marsala as well. Not like it used to be.
