If you’re craving tacos that hit like abuelita’s hug and a Texas-sized meat lover’s dream, El Tapatio Meat Market in Little Elm is la mera mera. This family-owned gem isn’t just a meat market—it’s a flavor explosion wrapped in a tortilla.

Walk in, and you’re greeted with the scent of sizzling carne and the warm smiles of the owners. The tacos? Absolute showstoppers. They don’t skimp—these bad boys are loaded with perfectly seasoned meat, fresh off the grill. Whether you go for barbacoa, al pastor, carnitas, or bistec, every bite is juicy, tender, and straight-up addicting. And let’s talk tortillas—soft, warm, and ready to hold all that goodness without falling apart.

Toppings? Keep it classic with fresh cilantro and onion, or drizzle on their spicy salsa for that extra kick. Pair it with a Mexican Coke or horchata, and ufff, estás en el cielo.

El Tapatio isn’t fancy, but it’s real—real flavor, real portions, and real people who make you feel like family. If you haven’t been, hazte un favor and get yourself some of the best tacos in Little...

—————————————————————————————— Hello everyone, I'm not the type of person to leave a bad review on other stores, but this is getting out of control at El Tapatío Meat Market (check your receipts). A few days ago on a Sunday my mom went to get food and everything was fine until we checked the receipt and they were charging her double. When I saw this I had to ask the lady why I was being charged. more than I have. She apologizes, but if I hadn't checked my receipt. Why are you charging more than the amount I am buying? Why don't they charge less? Mmm 🤨 they gave me my money back but who knows how long they've been doing this. He kept a receipt that showed everything I bought. Now next time I also checked my receipt before I left and this time I took a picture of it before it was taken. I have proof to show everyone that I was overcharged for a bag of meat that was a Steak Ranchero and a half that ended up costing $67 and was only supposed to be $16.99. I bought some other things and did some calculations and this was not right. So I went back inside and asked the lady what mistake she had made. Another cashier came and asked me if it was the only bag of meat and I said yes, the other cashier knew that too because she saw everything inside. Ask them to review your receipts. So that they do not charge more...

The grocery store has a counter served food to go or eat on premise. They offer tacos, burritos, tortas, parrilladas and even cooked meat by the pound. They also offer Mexican rice, refried beans and elote cups.

The staff at the back worked diligently to get orders out fast. I got there late on a weekend and the meat selection was running out (which makes sense, you don’t want to refill everything as you get ready to close). The carnitas tacos were the bomb and a really liked the refried beans. The other meats had a very good seasoning but I would recommend to select the meats based on what you see in the pans to be the softest and moist.

Overall, they were authentic tasting tacos. Price was good considering the size and amount of fillings. It was a busy night and one of the meat selection was wrong and they forgot to give me salsas.

Service at the registers were a...
