I came in to have my desktop diagnosed and fixed. Jorge charged a $49 diagnostic fee and came back a few days later with the results. An issue with the motherboard which would cost an additional $179 (around this price). I went forward with it and that where the communication started to go downhill.
Jorge consistently made statements that he would give me a call back of stating the computer would be ready at X time/day and that he would call. That hardly happened. I would have to consistently reach out and I would be told that there is another issue with the motherboard. From my understanding, he works with someone who fixes computers. I’m uncertain whether it was poor communication from them to Jorge, but what is for certain is his communication to me was not up to par. My expectation is to follow through with what you are going to do, even if there is a hiccup with getting it fixed and needed to be delayed, let me know; don’t let me have to find out.
In the end, after 2 months, the computer was not fixed and I decided to go out of my way to get it back because of the lack of transparency and communication. Jorge did state that the lab tech did say they felt confident about the next steps on getting it fixed, but I declined since I didn’t want to deal with the issues I’ve stated earlier.
The computer is in my possession and I am currently waiting on the refund for the cost of fixing the computer, since that was not completed. This part of the cost was done via Zelle, so I’m uncertain how the process is via business side, but normally it would be same day to send money back via Zelle.
I’ll leave things off by saying that Jorge remained kind throughout the process, but I would avoid bringing in a complicated fix, such as a desktop and stick with more simpler tasks that could be completed quickly.

Read moreI turned my Mack Book Pro into EMY cell phone repair to have the screen replaced after Apple informing me that the only option was to replace the entire computer, 3 days after Apple care expired. I was informed by George that the repair will be quick and easy, and that i should receive the computer back within a few days. Long story short, multiple components were replaced in attempt to fix the issue, all to no avail. The process took around 3 weeks, and after replacing the entire motherboard, i received my Mack Book pro in full working condition with no issues found so far. EMY did an awesome job, sticking to their word, and returning my device better than they received it. My only gripe is communication. I was told multiple times that the computer would be ready for pickup within the next day to the next couple days, only to be told that there would be further delays in repairs. Granted, this was not your average screen replacement... multiple components were swapped to fix the issue, leading to a full motherboard replacement which finally fixed the issue. However, Clear and honest communication would've been appreciated. EMY really went above and beyond with my computer, and I'm sure other companies would've returned the computer to me to say "its not repairable". I appreciate George for repairing my computer and will most definitely be using his services...
