I just moved to the area within the past 9 months and I visit smoothie king at least 5 days out of the week. Over the last few weeks since this location changed ownership I’ve noticed that my favorite smoothie, the chocolate hulk appeared a lot darker in color and taste different than normal. If I visited this location 5 days in a row I would get the darker smoothie every other day. After complaining for the third time I go inside and speak with the owners. I explain to them about the color and taste. The male owner makes a new smoothie ensuring me all of the employees use the same ingredients. I tell him “well someone must be using a little more of one or two ingredients because this is not a chocolate hulk. After he blends the new smoothie I place the old one next to the new one and we both notice it’s a huge difference in color. I look at the owner, waiting for him to accept responsibility or take ownership of the issue and he replied “we used the same ingredients”. So why would one be darker than the other and taste different? I asked. Their explanation was the person who made my smoothie may have used just a pinch more cocoa than normal. “That’s more than a pinch ma’am.” I replied. We go back and forth a bit with me trying to explain to both owners “whoever made the smoothie may have used the correct ingredients but they didn’t follow the recipe”. The female owner then ask me “ let’s say we did add a lil more cocoa than usual” because that’s what gives the smoothie the color “did it taste all that bad”? I replied “ma’am it didnt taste like a chocolate hulk”. She seemed a little offensive and said she also liked the chocolate hulk but she liked hers with a little more cocoa. “It makes it taste so good” she said. She pulls hers out of the freezer, pops the top and WALLAH!!! her chocolate hulk is a few shades darker also. Now I’m thinking to myself “so just because you like your smoothie with more cocoa I have to like it also”? To sum it up, I don’t care how good they think it taste, that’s not the taste I’m looking for. I’d like the original smoothie king recipe unless I ask for more of a certain ingredient. My biggest issue is everyone makes mistakes but they never accepted responsibility. They made me feel like I did something wrong or I was wrong for complaining or not liking what they gave me instead of what I asked for. They tried to make me feel like the cocoa was no big deal just because they drink theirs that way and they like it. I refuse to visit this location. again. I would rather drive the extra 5 miles to get exactly what I ask...

The customer service has been excellent. I'm always greeted, the employees are friendly and always in a good mood and seem to enjoy their job.
I've had numerous smoothies such as the Holiday Pecan Delight, Apple Cinnamon Cheer, Island Impact, Lemon Twist Strawberry, Pineapple Surf, Strawberry Kiwi Breeze, and the Berry Interesting. All the smoothies have been very tasty and consistent in flavor. The strawberries and mangoes are usually sweet but not overly sweet. The consistency is thick but not too thick to clog your smoothie straw. I've tried the some of the add-ins like the immune boost and you can taste the difference in a good way.
I'm a regular customer and I also use their app as they offer a free new smoothie probably a kit once a month! If you can order ahead also for quicker service as the drive through gets backed up...

Nadia took my order in the drive thru (6/5 10:30ish) and I NEVER had such an in-depth consultation about the type of smoothie I wanted as I did with her. This has to be the first time I waited for my smoothie knowing it's exactly what I wanted to drink vs hoping it'll be delicious and that I didn't waste my money.
Thank you Nadia for answering my million and one questions and STILL confirming the small details when I got to the window to ensure my order was correct and we were on the same page. I never once felt rushed or that I was taken forever. And even when I apologized at the window she ensured me I was okay and even commented how she enjoyed our exchange at the speaker.
