I have watched this theater evolve from WOW7 to Cinema7. It all begins in the lobby where while waiting in line you can choose candy yourself which helps speed-up the ticket and concession purchase.
Then once you have your ticket, you fill your own drinks and then if your movie is not ready, the lobby has some comfortable seating and the arcade environment that WOW7 had is long gone!
You then make your way into the movie and as everyone has stated the seating is out of this world! So very comfortable! For me the sound is perfect. It is to be expected to have loudness especially in action type movies. Towards the end of WOW7 the sound was so bad that I simply cannot complain about the sound at Cinema 7!
This is my number one go to theater now. Yorkville advertises their Xtreme cinema which boasts Premium Seating (Cinema 7 is better), Digital Projection and Xtreme sound which is a wanna-be Imax type setup. I believe Cinema 7 is digital and their sound is fantastic! If anything were to be improved and since Yorkville is so close, if Cinema 7 were to add a cinema say in that East parking lot with the same seating but make it like the Xtreme Cinema or Imax, that would knock it out of the park and people in Sandwich and East of Sandwich would have no reason to feel they need to go to Yorkville!
All that said, it is my go to theater and will remain so as long as it is run like it is now under present ownership and management!

Read moreMe and a group of my friends (4 girls) were trying to see âNopeâ today. Me and my one friend bought tickets online and when we got in we were not ided (big part of the story). 3 out of our group are 17 years old but and the other was 16. To see the movie we needed to be 17 which was not disclosed online nor anywhere in the theatre. When my other two friends went up and bought their ticket they got asked for their ids which would be fine if they knew they needed ids. Since they didnât have ids they bought tickets to Thor instead. All was well in the movie theatre seeing Nope till 5 minutes in 2 teens came in and asked for our tickets. We pulled them up and they asked to see our ids. We obviously did not know we needed them so we did not have them and they kicked us out of the theatre despite already being in. Wasn't able to get a refund and we are mad. The theatre also had popcorn on the floor from who knows when. I am just very disappointed because me and my friend were excited to see âNopeâ and...
Read moreThis is absolutely ridiculous. Given the weather outside, even just being summer out, and you canât have working AC?! I came in the other evening and 5 minutes into my movie I was sweating just sitting in there! For a moment, I thought my seat warmer was onâŚit wasnât!!!
I asked for a manager and he explained to me theyâve tried to get it fixed for a few weeks now and he apologized. He was understanding about this and offered reimbursement but to think guests can sit in this kind of environment for more than 2 hours is insanity.
I wouldnât want to sit in a movie again like this even if itâs free!! I canât believe this is a company that cares so little for the health and safety of their guests and I canât imagine the staff!! Heat outside is registering over 100...
