I needed to repair the back glass on my iPhone. Freddy offered two options: replace just the glass or replace the back housing. He told me just replacing the glass would not have the same integrity as the original (break easier) since it’s aftermarket; but the housing would come from another phone and be OEM - I.e., a genuine Apple product) and therefore have the same quality and integrity as the original. The second option was much more expensive, but I wanted to have the same quality so I decided to do that.

However, as soon as I got my phone back from him, I started noticing problems immediately :

1. my magnetic charger no longer worked (and the magnet itself felt weaker than original)
2. my cellular reception became spotty and often showed fewer bars than my other phone at the same location, same time, and same service provider.

After about a week, to make matters worse, my phone, which was enclosed in a case) fell from a height of about 19 inches off a low night stand in a casual fall onto a wood floor and the back glass completely shattered into shards (not the typical cracking pattern you would see on the original glass from falls far greater). I was completely stunned when I picked up my phone, since my previous phone had falls from my nightstand, desk (which is taller), and pocket without any problems before (original phone cracked from a fall from a height of about 6 feet onto a tiled floor).

After letting Freddy know and after Freddy insisting he sold me a genuine part and refusing to issue me a full refund, I took my phone over to Apple to ask for their opinion. They told me immediately just from the look of the glass it was a fake. I also asked about the fall and they replied by taking one of their own phones and demonstrating a fall from a taller desk with no scratch!

I told Freddy about the apple experience, but he disregarded it.

I then took the phone to another repair shop, who changed the housing again for me. This time, he showed me in person the pull off of another phone he had for parts. He opened Freddy’s repair and showed me the difference in the housing - it was clear Freddy’s housing was not the same quality. The new repair guy also showed me the defective parts, and showed me where Freddy did not reinstall parts properly (aside from defective parts causing the aforementioned performance issues). Freddy also did not re-install a seal, which means my phone was no longer water resistant with his repair!

Luckily, I found a competent and honest tech person to actually fix my phone with proper parts, seal, and installation. My magnet and charger work again, and my cellular reception is back to normal.

After telling Freddy about this, he was only willing to give me a partial refund (less than half of what I paid him). He gave me some money back as opposed to nothing which is why I’m giving 2 stars instead of 1, but Freddy’s repair left me with a phone in worse shape than when I gave it to him and...

After a distraught daughter over a broke. iPad screen at 9pm on a Saturday night, I searched google and found this company. I reached out praying they could help!! Just had a visit from Freddy who came to my house and repaired my phone. I have to say he magic erased my cracked screen about as quickly and painlessly as it could get.
