Tractor Supply Co. — Local services in Lodi

Overall, Lodi Tractor Supply Company is a pleasant place to shop. I've been a customer of this location, and others, going back as far as I can remember. Among other things, visiting TSC reminds me that most of our families were farmers not too many generations ago.

Tractor Supply Company has a great selection of pet and animal care products for animals large or small. I have a cat, for example, and LOVE that I don’t have to travel to the large stores that only handle pet products. Additionally, I always carry my general shopping list when I visit. They have merchandise for home maintenance and repair, outdoor household needs, clothing, boots, and shoes for the whole family, and a whole lot more. These are just a few of the products and departments that serve the city-dweller’s needs. Remember, “Tractor” is part of their name. This is the place to come if your farm is two acres or two hundred.

I often find what I need at TSC that would have otherwise meant visiting three or four other stores. Imagine – you head over to TSC to pick up a couple of dozen cans of cat food and you wind up returning home with a brand-new lawnmower. I nearly decided to wait on the mower when I saw their recent display of kayaks! Imagine my inner conflict… I won’t tell you what I chose – I’ll just say that my tennis shoes are green, not wet.

I want to give one important warning though... They sell what I would describe as “over-the-counter” pet medications and treatments. BEWARE ⚠️Not everyone is properly at TSC is properly trained. I likely would have killed my cat if I followed one clerk's advice.

Properly trained, to me, means: 1) Either they know EXACTLY what they're talking about, or, 2) They've been trained not to say another word on the topic until they get someone to help who DOES know what they're...

I have never felt so completely humiliated and disrespected at a Tractor Supply location. Mathew Patwell, store manager, refused to sell me a chicken coop because I had previously purchased it and had to return it due to my dad finding out he had cancer the next day after purchase. I told him I would pay all of the fees I had originally paid and he denied to sell it to me as I “wasted his time” in front of other customers and employees. Unbelievable! He then said he wouldn’t sell me the display, and that they do not offer assembly (hello it’s a paid service..). I received a call the following day from another manager, Garett who apologized on his behalf and told me they would waive the fees and give me free gifts. At this point I just wanted a gift card and to proceed at a different location. Drive all the way down there just for Garett to call Mathew and deny me once more. I also heard over a cashiers walkie talkie that obviously didn't have an ear piece Garett say he thought we were “trying to pull one over on them” and agreed with Mathew that we didn’t deserve anything. I wasn’t asking for free things, I wanted to pay for an expensive coop for my current chicks. That’s all. But to waste my time, tell me to come down there for “free gifts” only to lie to me once more is so out of line. I will not be recommending this location to anyone and am actively working with Corporate to get Matt and Garett’s lack of customer...

I like going to tractor supply for the DIY books for hobby farmers. I am a Sr. Citizen and have sold my home and purchased a mobile because I wasn't able to keep up the yard maintenance. We are not able to plant things in the ground so I couldn't have my vegetable garden. Tractor supply has a huge selection of books that tell you how to grow vegetables in containers so now I can grow my garden and I've even started planting succulents in containers and they look great! I just bought a new book on Tiny House living ideas and its inspired me to remodel my mobile home something I've never done but I'm going for it. I wish I could post pictures of my home to show my garden. One other book I want is building a chicken coop for city living so my 2 cats can go outside and enjoy the nice weather.
