The shrimp was really dirty as in the vein that goes through the top. That dark stuff in that vein is poop!! That’s the shrimp’s digestive tract All of them had a dark vein. I asked nicely if they could be cleaned and they said no because that’s the way they come. No restaurant would ever do that. Any other restaurant wants to keep their customers happy. The place was not busy at all. There was just another couple there and myself and the cook and the waitresses were hanging out just singing and laughing and joking around. I will never go there again. I ended up not ordering anything else because I wanted a shrimp tostada.(the poop ruined it for me.) The wife and I were in Lodi Thursday afternoon so we decided to get some seafood. A friend recommended La Islitas so that's where we decided to go. I wish I could give this spot 10 stars! Wasn't very busy. The waiter was super friendly. We received ceviche pescado con tostadas instead of chips and salsa, and it was legit! My wife ordered 7 seas and I ordered bacon wrapped shrimp. Festive place. Semi small with 4 TV's on each East/West side of the walls. Small bar with decent seating. Great service by all the waiters and waitresses. The shrimp cocktail was the reason for our visit and it did not disappoint. Tons of shrimp, great amount of chopped onions, tomatoes and cucumbers with a small size being plenty of food for a child or adult for $14.99.
