The worst property management team out there. The staff is the worst, they are nice but don't know the system they use, and are not properly trained on how to help with anything including paying the rent or bills for the place. The first month to move in they need a cashers check which is fine. The 2nd month I paid with a check for rent and after that we asked how to pay the bills. The lady instructed us to pay online for the bills, you can set up an auto payment, so I did. Under the auto payment it didn't say they were going to take out the rent also with that payment and the worker never mentioned it either. Then later that month I payed the rent with a check to the exact same lady and she took my check. Then they charged me the bills, the rent online automatically, and cashed the check. So I had to call my bank to cancel the check payment and they charged me $25. $25 dollars for your employee not explaining anything and messing up and also then being the same person to take and cash the check. Then this month I assumed they would electronically take out the rent again since it was set up the previous month that way and they didn't and charged me $75 for a late fee on top of that. So the last two month $100 with of charges for their employee not know the system they use or how to instruct us on how the system works. That is really bad and I bet they don't reverse the fees, knowing them, and how they operate as a business taking advantage of their tenants. To make things even worse I called the first time and talked to Jennifer and she was nice enough. She apologized for their employee not knowing or explaining their system or process correctly. She said she would speak to the other employees. She agreed I should cancel the check but never said anything about a $25 charge. Then they left a letter on my door after, and did the same thing with the $75 late charge. Not even a call or a knock when they put it there to speak to us. After I spoke to Jennifer the first time I called back to speak with her again about the $25 charge and they said she was busy and she would call me back, they took my name and number and she never did. I called again with the same outcome. Like I said at the beginning this property management team...
ย ย ย Read moreI am a loma linda university physician. I am writing this review to make future residents aware of some points before they move in to Barton Vineyards. Overall it is not too bad but i think for the price you can get a much better deal either with other complex or to rent a house nearby like on mission road for example. I will make it very brief and in points. My goal is to help set expectations so no surprises or disappointment. Security is definitely an issue. It is NOT a gated community. The gates were almost always broken and I have personally seen homeless people pushing those grocery store carts with all their stuff INSIDE the complex. Also there is an access to the community without a gate.
It is not a luxury complex. The apartments are outdated and amenities arenโt maintained. The refrigerator, dish washer, microwave were not in a good shape. MAKE SURE YOU SEE THE EXACT UNIT YOU WILL RENT AND NOT JUST THE MODEL UNIT. THERE IS A SIGNIFICANT DIFFERENCE.
Parking is not available for second cars usually you will park far away. Make sure you check your designated parking spot as it might be quite a distance.
Maintenance is not speedy and can take few days. Many times I submit a request for maintenance and they send email the request was full-filled however no body showed up. It can take a week to fix it.
Management is not cooperative or helpful. They donโt work to make things easier and some of them are rude at times. This is a common complaint at Barton Vineyards. Some others are helpful and nice but apparently the rude ones are the more senior or in charge. You will see that in other people comments too.
Expect some extra fees here and there. Apparently they need to make more money so they make them up.
Trash area is always unclean and stinky. Rarely I find a place in the trash can to put my trash bags and usually you have to leave them nearby.
Good thing is that it is quite and located in a convenient spot to...
ย ย ย Read moreThis apartment complex is okay. I lived here two years. The reason I am giving it one star is the management. They are dishonest and don't care about customer service but rather making money. When I moved out, $300 was withheld from my deposit to "clean" my apartment, which was spotless when I moved out. When I questioned what needed to be cleaned, I was told "the door hinges." Which is interesting because this is actually one of the dirtier apartments I have moved into initially, so I have a hard time believing they actually pay anyone to clean prior to the next tenant. Additionally, it is overpriced at about $1800 for a 2 bed apartment and the rent increases about $75-100 a year. Additionally model they show looks updated but the actual apartment you are offered are not, so they have a 90s look to them. The apartments are infested with cockroaches, which the apartment isn't interested in treating. The gates are broken probably 25% of the time but regardless anyone can walk in via the trails. In the summertime, the apartment pool is constantly full of people who don't live in the apartment complex, which I personally didn't mind but I also didn't live next to the pool and didn't have to deal with the noise. Also, thereโs not enough parking here, not sure thereโs a great solution to that but just be aware, if you enjoying having friends over, they better be up for a hike to get to your apartment. Lastly! Enjoy your packages being stolen. Renter Beware!
