I was walking two the nearest place that I thought I could get help after I left a place called Lincare. I was walking with my cane in excruciating pain I Came Upon This Place with a welcoming loving sign outside so I thought I could get help there to charge my phone. My phone battery had died and I could not call my ride I just needed a charge on my phone I went in there and in tears because of the pain that my king was no longer helping me. The young lady was nice and she said she would see if I could. While seated in the restaurant the manager came to me and asked me to go to this place behind a little wall privacy wall I had no arguments with him because I was in such pain and in tears. While waiting four great big police officers so came and surrounded me and I burst into More Tears wanting to know what's wrong. The officer said that the manager called because I was a problem I threw up my hands and said oh my God I'm not trying to hurt or do anything to anyone I just need help. The manager was of no help and obviously wanted me out of his establishment. I am 65 years old woman that is handicapped. And by the way I am also a black woman. I had never experienced such prejudice. If you are black stay away from this restaurant or you will get the police called on you for doing nothing. This is the worst place I have ever...
Read moreThis place is hit and miss with what you can buy here. Either it will be expensive basic food/drink that is portioned in small servings, or expensive and delicious food/drink that you can't get anywhere else. I gave it 3 stars because overall the food was decent, but expensive, and quite honestly not that special. You aren't paying higher prices for organic, all natural, ingredients (which is the vibe you get when you walk into here,) you get basic food that was made fresh. I can't justify wanting to come here if you're really hungry, due to the small portions and high prices, and in all reality, I don't see myself coming back here when I can get better ingredients, for the same prices, at Panera bread. Or if it's deli meats or market items I want, it'll be cheaper to visit a sprouts market, and again, get better ingredients. Just my opinion about this...
Read moreMy first experience purchasing lunch here was great. The second time around. Not so much. I work for a non-profit that serves adults with disabilities. We planned to eat lunch @ Deli on the Corner this day. Upon arrival we were approached by the “owner” and she informed us that our groups would not be able to sit at the tables inside the establishment because they were on the verge of a lunch rush. And she told us we would have to sit outside . And that maybe after 30 min we could go inside once the “lunch rush” dies down. We had paying customers and were made to feel like we were not allowed to sit inside. It absolutely felt discriminatory. She did not ask any other customers to sit outside. There were plenty of empty tables inside the entire time we were eating our lunch. It was a very chilly and cloudy day at that. This is unacceptable...
