Idiots, I honestly don't know how else to describe them. I had my iPhone shipped directly to my house but when I turned it on it wouldn't recognize the brand new Verizon SIM card which it came with. Because it didn't read the SIM card the phone kept saying insert a SIM card and I wasn't able to even get past setup into the home screen. So I take it down to these folks and tell the young woman what the issue is. I'm trying to activate my new phone but it's not reading the SIM card is in the phone. She asks if I've activated it yet and I say no I can't even get past the setup because of the SIM card issue. She responds by telling me oh well that's the problem, it's not activated. I say no but to activate it you need to get past the setup and then call a number. How can I call the account if it's not reading the SIM card to get past setup. So despite me expressing my concerns about a faulty device or SIM card she assures me that I just need to call and activate it. So I go home, activate it through Verizon and the phone still won't recognize the SIM card. I get on the phone with Verizon level 2 support and we come to the realization that either the SIM card or phone is faulty and they direct me to a corporate store in Wilmington Delaware where we replace the faulty SIM card and everything works fine after that. I then call this store and talk to the manager about how much time the employee had cost me because of what I can only assume was incompetence and he proceeds to give me all these canned apologies and even after I tell him the issue and that I spoke with level 2 tech support he insists that he can help me fix it over the phone. He ended up being more incompetent than she had been. It's like he wasn't even listening. I'd save yourself the hassle and order online or go to a corporate store, not one of these retailer knockoffs. The expert can't help you if they have less knowledge than...
Read moreI’d beware of the tactics here…I had initially left a 5 star review because it was SO easy switching over from a Galaxy to iPhone 15 here. I was told my trade in would cover the cost of my iphone and Apple Watch and I was happy with the service that day.
But then my first bill comes and I’m being charged for half the cost of each device, (and apparently if you get a watch from Verizon they put you on a data plan…which was never disclosed to me otherwise I would’ve just ordered the watch from Apple…)
so I go back to the store and am told it’s an easy fix, and there is some form that needs to be filled out, and it’s no problem to fix and my next bill would reflect the updates.
At the initial visit I was also charged for three different services I didn’t want. One was a mobile hotspot I was specifically asked about at the initial visit and declined. Additionally, I was charged a service fee for setting up the watch, which never Came out of the box at the store and I was told it would be credited back to my account after I brought it up. Now two months later, AND an additional call to the store I’m stuck paying for half of the cost of the phone and watch, and no refund on the $50 fee for nothing. Personally I’d find another...
Read moreIf you need any help with your phone/internet etc, you’ve gotta go see Melissa at the Avondale Verizon store.
She has a gift.
She fully understood the assignment when I walked in, stressed and upset about losing access to all the data stored on my phone in a water related accident.
Melissa helped me stay calm, was compassionate and relatable throughout the process, and showed such a genuine desire to help.
She bent over backwards patiently trying every avenue, until we eventually successfully recovered EVERYTHING I lost! I am so thankful for her assistance.
I’m not sure how it happened, but honestly she turned a very stressful situation into fun. You can tell she enjoys a challenge and cares deeply for people.
Melissa Hall is an asset to this location and should be recognized for outstanding customer service. Well done, Lady. We’ll bring future business back to Verizon....
