I am so upset at my experience. This was my first time at this target and will also be my last. Any time I passed employees, you can hear them chatting about who’s sleeping with whom and cursing a bunch and I just thought that was inappropriate but didn’t give it much thought. Then, while there are at least five employees near the cash register, there is a 10+ minute line at self checkout and a fifteen minute line for the one checkout that is open. All the whole, there are 5 employees standing near the checkouts not helping. I finally get to the front of self checkout and see that my $25 hat has a stain. I have just waited all this time in line so I ask if any of the employees can get me one without a stain. I’m told no, that I need to go get it my self. I ask if I can run and come right back here to this register, and he tells me I need to get back in line. I had forgotten my hat for the event I was headed to, so I need to purchase the hat otherwise I would’ve just left. THEN, I get back in line and the employees are just chatting and not helping the line. So many people were upset at this point. The line for the cashier looked a little smaller so I tried that line. It went so slow. I mean 10 minutes for 2 customers ahead of me. Like ridiculous. The man is chatting with the woman with no regard to everyone waiting. So I jump back in self check out and am up next when some customers start yelling at the employees at the front while they are exiting. They are upset that no one is opening another register and that they’re not even paying attention to the people who need help at self checkout to move the process faster. After they leave, the employees walk closer to the self checkout and talk about how ridiculous that customer was and how they actually are in fact doing their jobs and this is going on while a customer is literally calling them for help at one of the check out stands. They’re too busy gossiping to notice him so I finally yell out “Excuse me. He needs help” and they go. I spent so much unnecessary time waiting because the employees were too lazy to open even one more register or pay attention to the self checkout so that they could help the people who needed it. I’ve never been so infuriated in a store.
The whole place lacked so much professionalism. I have new clients in the area and was looking forward to trying a new target. I doubt I’ll ever go back in there. Worst...
Read moreMy husband felt racially profiled by an employee during his shopping experience. This was his experience: I was really disappointed with my experience at this location the other day. I'm still fuming just at the thought. I came in to shop for a specific toy for my son and was in a hurry. I walked straight to the toy aisle, grabbed the item I already researched online, and couldn't resist buying a second, different Duplo set that I knew my son would want for his upcoming birthday. I then walked directly to the self-checkout area. I noticed as I was scanning my two items that a loss prevention employee was standing behind me, watching my every action closely. I'm used to seeing an employee monitoring the self-checkout area so I wasn't too bothered, even though I felt the guy was giving way too much attention to me in particular. What bothered me most though, was that as I was leaving he followed me to his usual post by the exit doors and asked to see my receipt. I gave him my receipt of course, as I had nothing to hide, but I made it clear to him that I was fully aware of his intrusive, pesky, and discriminatory behavior from the moment I began my self-checkout experience. He smirked, and that was the end of our interaction. But after I left I lingered outside to see if this was some new Walmart-esque policy of checking receipts as customers exit. As I suspected, the employee didn't check a single receipt after mine. This experience left me feeling sick. For one thing, I don't understand why I was singled out. I am an honest, hardworking person and I can't help but wonder, what about my appearance triggered this employee to think so low of me? Is it my skin color? Is it how I dress? My hair? Moreover, this is my local Target. Sure, there are several other Targets nearby (cleaner, friendlier, better merchandise), but this one is seriously about 1 mile away from my home. I often choose to come here even for groceries because it's so convenient. Now, I'm rethinking it because I can't believe how I've been treated and I fear I'll be treated that way again. The loss prevention employee SMIRKED rather than apologized for wrongfully...
Read moreI have never done a review ever but I had to for this target location. I got there at 6pm and my friend and I were going to buy multiple swimsuits since they are on sale, we wanted to try them on first but employees said the fitting rooms were closed at 6pm because they were understaffed. That’s understandable BUT there was 5 EMPLOYEES in-front of the closed fitting room chatting. I asked another employee that seemed to be a Manger and he said said they closed them early because they are understaffed. I really don’t think so. Also they were standing there for quite a while as well I don’t understand why we couldn’t try them on while they were out there for 25min just standing and chatting.
I’ve been to multiple other targets and their fitting rooms are never closed and don’t have multiple people standing and chatting during work hours. I also have a picture of them standing there taken after 25min but I don’t want to post for their privacy. Pls do...
