Sadly the day we chose to stop here and take the incline railway up and back, was the day the fire started. We went hiking in the beautiful area on lookout mountain instead. Got back to our car to see firetrucks everywhere, there was only a couple when we started the morning. Talking to residents and the firemen was interesting too. Typical tourist trap prices so be prepared. Great views from this location of the valley and the Incline Railway. There is a good amount of parking in front of the store but be careful of signage, there are areas up here that are for residents only. If you are parked there without a pass you could be booted or towed. Typically this is visited by riders that come to the top on the Incline Railway.
