I wanted to do something special for partner this Valentine’s day. So I decided to get a private chef. I have to say that Chef Johanna was amazing! First off, she arrived on time, had everything set up. The set up looked amazing and she had roses that melted our hearts and the food was delicious! No cap.

She and her assistant, Song, did everything perfectly. She brought Ruth Chris to our home! It was a four course meal and champagne! She even decorated and had a print out of our menu with our names on it.

We had a Caesar salad with pancetta for our appetizer. Then we had shrimp wrapped in bacon with lemon caper aioli sauce. Next, we had Brussels sprouts with Filipino adobo sauce. For our main course, we had bone in ribeye with side of mushroom and chimichuri sauce, lobster with lemon and capers beuree blanc, asparagus, and fully loaded baked potato. Desert was a chocolate chip pazookie with vanilla ice cream.

I just have to say that I rather go with Chef Johanna than go to Ruth’s Chris. She was very attentive, helpful, gracious and the price wasn’t bad at all. She is an exceptional chef and I would recommend her for all my future events.

Johanna is a once in a lifetime chef. My mouth met her talent when I worked as a voice over actor in Santa Monica, California. This premiere recording studio hired this brilliant food creator to feed us creatives when we came in to record. I was amazed by her presence, her kindness, and the way she dialed into me, on standby, to instantly curate whatever I wanted to eat.. That day, she sent me home to Silver Lake with a humble brown bag of mini scones she had made while I was inside working. It truly touched me. I remember opening this bag of treasures and I knew what I tasted wasn't a fluke, she was special. And over a (baker's) dozen years later, I remain the luckiest woman in the world to still be invited to her table.
