Primary Towing Los Angeles — Local services in Los Angeles

This is definitely super late for a review, but it’s better late then never lol this will probably be the longest review they’ve ever had lol

I just want to shoutout James and Cole. Both of them were angels and I, and my bf, seriously can’t thank them enough!

My bf works at LAX. His car, from one day to another, gave out. He had to Uber home after his shift, at 2am. We live in Whittier lol you can imagine what the price was for that Uber ride. I could’ve picked him up but of course, my phone had the ringer off that night, so I didn’t wake up when he called me.

Fast forward to Sunday, we both had the day off. So we went to LAX to pick up his car that was in the employee parking lot. We called AAA and asked for the towing service. We called at 2:50pm. We waited and waited and waited. We called for ETA updates, they called us back to give us ETA updates. Fast forward to about 7pm I started getting frustrated because AAA wasn’t arriving and they kept pushing our ETA back. I remember they ended up giving us an ETA of 8:30pm. I was annoyed, tired, cold, hungry, and everything else lol so we looked up towing companies and gave this place a call.

When I say James is an angel, please believe it lol

We called, spoke to James, and told him our situation. We asked him a few things and he said he’ll give us a call back asap with a few answers. He called us back with the best news ever. We had a little bit of trust issues because AAA never came to help us lol so I even had to ask James “are you sure you guys will be here to help us out?” 😂 he said “yes we’ll be there in 30-40 minutes max. My driver is finishing up another call in Hollywood, but he will be at your location as soon as he finishes.” I swear I wanted to cry of happiness lmao! His reassurance brought so much happiness to me and definitely made me feel like we were in good hands. It was honestly a stressful day and night for my bf and I.

Then the driver, Cole, showed up. Oh my goodness! Another angel in disguise! We had a little bit of an issue with him finding us because we all know how crazy and hectic driving near LAX is! But he found us and we were oh so ecstatic!

Anyway….Cole really didn’t have to do the entire trip tbh. We’re very aware that Whittier was out of their service cities, and this is why I say they’re both angels! They really didn’t have to take the 25+ mile trip to help us out, but they knew we were in desperate need of help. When we got home, Cole even helped us push the car a bit so we can drive it into our driveway. My bf’s car did not drive at all. So even going that extra mile, Cole pushing a bit, is so much! Cole gave us a receipt so we can claim a reimbursement at AAA. That was so helpful!

Today my bf and I had some free time and went down to the AAA office near home. We went to fill out the reimbursement form and handed them the receipt of the towing service of that day. It’s so irritating that because we live 25+ miles away, AAA never showed up to help tow the car. They were even asking if we wanted to schedule a towing service for the following day instead. They didn’t want to tow us because it was a long drive. What’s even more ridiculous is we’re paying for the 100 miles towing membership. Obviously that membership is trash! That’s why I’m even more thankful that Cole carried receipts because I’m definitely asking for a damn reimbursement! I will fight it if I have to lol

I really want to thank Cole and James again for the amazing customer service they provided. They truly helped us out in more than one way! They seriously came to our rescue. I highly recommend any person in need of roadside assistance to contact this company first. They are extremely helpful! Thank you again! You definitely care about the community and will help those in need. Thank you thank you thank you!

Oh btw! We ended up waiting 6.5 hours for AAA, and they never showed up. We had to wait LESS than an hour for Primary Towing to come to our location! Ridiculous that AAA had us waiting for so long, which felt like...

I had an unusual service requirememt--not transporting a vehicle but instead, moving two heavy oversize items--a steel workbench and a welding table which aren't quite heavy or large enough to require loading by Industrial Equipmemt movers. Towing companies typically don't consider non-automotive request ...and, in my case, those few that did took forever to get me their prices ...also, which were unrealistically high...more like that of heavy industrial equipment movers with exotic trucks having boom hoists or lifting cranes. To my pleasant surprise, Primary (Joe) responded quickly with a more-than-fair estimate and their driver (Cole) was super-attentive and very knowledgeable re safe Chain and Strap Tie-down geometries to assure the loads remained securely fastened during the ride. As an Architect with Structural Engineering training, it was refreshing to watch the driver think out the most secure Tiedown strategy without my needing to butt in! Anyway, good company-- professional on the phone and in the field.

Now that I have discovered Primary, time-consuming searches for a good Towing company are a thing of the past...I'll just...

I was stuck in LA about an hour from home when my truck started spewing smoke and coolant at 1:30 am when I called primary towing. I had received a price from triple A before calling primary but was told it would take two hours, and I’ve used triple a multiple times, two hours really means six!

When I called primary towing no one answered but I was called back right away by joe, a very friendly and helpful dispatcher. They had pricing very similar to what triple A was charging however I was told I would only have to wait 30 minutes! Sure enough 30 minutes passed and almost on the dot Roger the tow truck driver was there to save the day/ night. Roger was also very friendly, we had lots of good conversations on my hour long tow home.

Even after I arrived I was called by Joe to confirm that I had been dropped off safely and that everything worked out as best it could. I really did appreciate the customer service and prompt work of getting me out of this hassle so quickly. Dealing with you guys has been a million times easier and faster than triple A ever has been thanks...
