Seaway Motel — Hotel in Los Angeles

Seaway Motel||5961 Venice Blvd, Los Angeles: "Horrible Staff"||Date: 12 Dec 2010||My Friend booked at this motel for five days stay. Since it is a walking distance to Kaiser Permanente, we decided that the location is great considering that he has COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary decease) He can walk but we have to check on him every now and then.||||I called Seaway Motel several times in the afternoon to check on him but the line was busy. After numerous try I finally got someone to answer the phone. I...said room 103 please.... She asked if this is a transfer call I replied yes without being positive on what the question was. I did got connected to my friend. I he said that he cannot dial out he can only receive a call. I ask for his doctor's contact number, in a process of doing so he experience an ashram attack. After giving himself an inhaler he was ok.||||Just a bit of a background, I am in Asia while this was taking place, needless to say I am helpless to assist him, all I can do is check on him routinely. The information I received from him about "no out call" bothered me so I contacted my friend that happen to live a few miles from Seaway Motel to get him a phone. My friend whom I just relaid information to was also trouble by the idea of no out call. He then called Seaway Motel and asked for room 103. He called be back to say that our friend can only receive one transfer call a day. I can't believe the information I just heard so I made a call. Sure enough the lady that answered the call said...only one transfer per day! I said I need to check on my friend because he is sick. She then said ...that is your problem not mine! I cannot believe what I just heard. I beg her to please connect me or she will be responsible if something happen to my friend. Again she said that that is not her problem. She continued to say that she is working for 24hrs without a break, she does not have the time to be transferring calls. I then diplomatically beg her again to please connect me because if that is her father she will do the same thing I am doing. She then again said "not my problem"...then hanged up.||||Never have I experience service like that. Even in a life or death situation NO BODY CARE AT...

Discovered the rates here at 65.00 a night 10/07/2015. 5.00 deposit for room&key. The service was horrid, room wasn't spotless, the throw cover had cigarette holes, sheets were suprisingly clean+ || The Indian male that runs this Motel property is absolutely disgusting! When I called to reassure rate I was hung up on! When I arrived to reassure rate, I was served with terrible, tired service! Told 11am is check out. Safe assumption, the front window at this motel is likely the space where the disgusting owner resides full time.. 10:25am following morning, disgusting Indian owner BANGS 5 times on door, calls the room phone 3 times. I was told check out at 11am! I was in the shower 30 MINUTES PRIOR TO CHECK OUT and did not answer the door or phone! Owner did not respect check out at 11am. INDIAN OWNER DID NOT KNOCK, THIS INDIVIDUAL BANGED SEVERAL TIMES & CALLED SEVERAL TIMES! I was truly appalled.I work in hotel management, too familiar with 30min courtesy. I did not respect check out being at 11am at all! Woohooo! I was 4mins late checking out, he came by BANGING on the door, while calling the room phone off the hook at the same time AGAIN. Seriously startling and unimpressed. At 11:04am, I open the door with a pearly smile- he alerts me that check out is at 11am, he will phone police if I didn't leave. Absurd..He demanded I leave the door open, depart. Rude, loud volume, says his maid is waiting..Bizarre mode of communication, incredibly high level of rudeness. I LITERALLY FELT I didn't have the time to respond, I presented him with a smile, the room key, left the door wide open. I finished doing my makeup in my car at the lot outside the room. I observed him roll his maintenance cart himself, no maids in sight. This place is EXTREMELY UNFRIENDLY. Horrible service, nice/ok rate wise. I would...
