I never do poor reviews, but this one deserves it. I scheduled an online appointment. I asked to go a shade or two darker than my natural hair while giving me soft highlights for dimension. My complaints: The 'highlights in my hair are so incredibly uneven. There's absolutely no way I can part my hair to make it look even semi-decent. The blonde highlight on the upper right side is twice as thick as the left side and there's no way to cover that, even with styling. It doesn't matter how I part my hair. I can't even pull my hair in a slick-back ponytail without a skunk streak down the right side of my head. It took 4.5 hours to do my hair.. my appointment was scheduled at 10:30, it was 3pm when I left. If I was getting something intricate done, that's fine. But I was not. At one point she even walked away to do a haircut on someone else. Which is fine! But tell me what's going on so I don't sit in the chair for OVER TWENTY MINUTES wondering where my stylist is, only to look around and see her cutting someone else's hair. I felt like I was an inconvenience to the stylist the entire time. She didn't talk to me or engage in conversation at all - I get it, bad days happen. But the most she talked to me? Before she applied the toner she asked which way I parted my hair and if my hair had always thin and straight. And at the very end of the appointment I was told "well I hope you like it since you never gave me an inspo pic". I was unaware that an inspo pic is what determined the quality of services provided, especially when one was never specifically asked for. I liked it in the salon, but I only saw it with curls (which i informed the stylist that my hair does not hold curls for more than a few minutes and she agreed after she 'styled' it and it fell immediately). Once I got home and actually examined my hair, I realized how poor of a job was done. Frankly, this is unacceptable for a professional stylist. I absolutely do NOT recommend this place. It was a waste of over $250 and 4.5 hours of my time as I will now have to spend time and money to get it...
Read moreI have done my nails here before. The first set was an acrylic nail set, loved them so much and they were reasonably priced at $65. However, my nails are thin and fragile, so I booked online for a gel set. As a customer, I do not know what the difference between acrylic and gel is. All I know is that gel is more affordable and healthier for nails like mine, but I have no clue of what the process of the service was supposed to look like. I trust that the nail techs know what they are doing and that they pay attention to the bookings from customers. In the end, I was charged $65...for an acrylic nail set that I did not ask for. Three stars because I did love the result, and the nail tech was nice. I just did not like that I received a service I did not book for; it was a bit negligible...
Read moreI hate my hair. I had beautiful long hair, a butterfly cut to give a better picture. I booked an appointment because I wanted my hair shorter since it was damaged in the ends but I still wanted layers. Tell me why Ms.Monika chopped my hair without consideration of having nice layers following a U or V shape like I requested. My hair looks awful. The back is shorter and the front is longer. I got my layers but they're uneven, chopped in crazy areas, some shorter than others. I love this place, but I'm not booking with Monika anymore. On top of that, she was 10min late to the appointment. I'm not angry, I'm just sad and feel insecure now that my hair...
