Mariscos El Timón — Restaurant in Los Fresnos

Have been going in at least twice a week ordering two of the large consome 2 of 32oz for $7.39. Today I went in and the young ladies were lost didn’t know what a large was as far as oz, then wanted to charge me $24 I said no that’s not right then they said $7.39 and I said yes for two because that’s what I always pay the. They kept looking as if they were lost and wanted to charge me $7.39 each so I cancelled the order and walked out. Not a fan of their fried food wife and I ordered calamari fried and fried shrimp. The calamari was tough and the shrimp had no flavor like they cooked it in just flour not even salt. The only thing that I can say is good is anything other than fried. I had the large caldo de mariscos as a takeout order. The soup had fish, shrimp, squid, peas, and carrots. It came with a hot sauce which I added in the soup. The soup was delicious. The only reason I gave it a four star was because I think the portion should have been bigger, it also came with a tiny styrofoam cup with rice.

The restaurant itself appeared to be clean as well as the bathroom. I do believe that the area behind the register needs to be better organized, it was a disaster.

All in all a fine restaurant in my opinion and I will be going back and try...

Something we needed in Los Fresnos,quick sea food ! The experience was great 👍 but what they need to get of the menu is tilapia which is fine too eat if you want but don’t try to pass it under the table and call it seafood and price it as well, it’s a fresh water fish 🐠 I hope this restaurant survives it is not a bad place to eat and I will go back for some...
