I visited the store on April 3rd 2024. It is a great beautiful quaint little store. All the employees are very friendly and very helpful and knowledgeable. But the manager I believe they said her name is Mary is one of the most rudest, disrespectful people I've ever seen or met. The reason I State this is there was a young man that was grabbing the glassware which looked like Kentucky Derby glasses she was pricing for a low price of a $1.00 and as she noticed that he was going to be buying several of them she stopped pricing them and stated that she had to change the prices and that he was trying to rip off a church by buying those glasses at the price she was pricing them at. The young man did state that he wasn't trying to rip off a church he was actually buying the product because it was a good deal. That was completely disrespectful of her to state that he was trying to rip off of church because she was pricing those at first for $1 and when she realized he was going to be buying possibly a very large amount of them she had to change the price to get more money out of him. When she started doing that I noticed the young man stop going through the glassware went to the register paid for the items that he had and left. If it was me I wouldn't have bought nothing. I would have left everything I had in my cart cuz you can tell it hurt that young man's feelings. It actually really upset me and to be honest I left the store and decided not to buy the item I was looking at. I would love to be able to return to the store but as long as that woman is the manager I will not return to that location. I am sorry to say this but if they can allow someone that rude, that disrespectful, and that hateful and mean to be the manager of a outreach thrift store for a church that doesn't say good things about them at all. They should really think about replacing her with a different manager somebody that would be extremely pleasant to speak with caring and very nice to their customers. Again if I was that young man I would never return. The store was highly recommended to me and I thought it would be a great place to shop because I was going to be able to help out a church and it made me feel good knowing I was able to help out a church. I may return one day but as of right now I will not be back as long as the manager there is Mary. If that is what...
Read moreThe staff member working the front desk was super kind and helpful but the manager was super rude and unpleasant. I misread the price of a sticker on an outdoor table set by $100. It was $150 not $50( I thought the scribbled 1 was a dollar sign). I apologized saying I would get it for $50 but not $150 and the very sweet lady went to the manager just to make sure she was reading it right. She came and said it was indeed $150. She apologized, I apologized for making her go through all that for nothing, and we were exchanging goodbyes and have good days when the manager came hollering that it was a 5 piece set and that’s why it was $150. I said I understand but I’m not interested. She keeps going in the most condescending tone that I was never going to find a 5 piece outdoor table set for less. Taken aback because I never argued the price or questioned their pricing I said “ I have before and I’m sure I will again.” I guess she didn’t like that so she got even more defensive about the stores pricing and that they don’t receive stuff for free like other thrift stores so their prices will never be that low. I said “I understand, I’m just a deal hunter because I have a huge backyard to buy furniture for and a budget I’m trying to stick to”.
It felt like she wanted an argument almost and I wasn’t giving it to her. Very weird behavior. I’ve never been made to feel so uncomfortable just because I’ve decided not to purchase something in my life.
I’m sure someone will gladly pay $150 for your outdoor metal patio set it just will never be me and that should be just fine with you. If I was any sort of a sensitive person I would have been so embarrassed at the scene she created in front of an entire store but I love attention so...
Read moreI was happy to see the store open up in my neighborhood. I thought it would be a pleasant addition. The first year it was open I use to stop in weekly. As time passed the prices jumped to full blown used / retail. Most recently they hired the most rude manager Ive ever seen or heard. She started argument with me over the life of a lithium Ion battery, then made a comment to her co worker that I had got up on the wrong side of the bed. We just stopped going. Prices are high and manager is...
