Review for Home Center Furniture
I purchased a couch from Home Center Furniture, attracted by the low prices. However, after only two weeks, the quality issues are very clear. The couch material is so thin that it already has a hole, and just yesterday, the wood frame cracked when I leaned my arm on it. It seems like the construction is poor, and the materials are far from durable. While the price might be tempting, the quality doesn’t match up, and I’d recommend looking for a more reliable option if you want furniture that lasts.
I purchased a sectional couch from this store, paying $600, and expected it to last at least a year. Unfortunately, the fabric is extremely cheap, and the couch hasn’t held up well at all. When I spoke to the manager in person on December 3 to address the issue, the staff dismissed my concerns, essentially saying, “You get what you pay for.” I find this attitude unprofessional and unfair.
I also previously purchased a king bed set from this store, and it doesn’t even fit a standard king mattress—it’s oversized and poorly made. While I’m not complaining about the rug I bought, the overall quality of the furniture here is disappointing.
All I wanted was to come to a fair resolution: return the couch and stop any remaining payments, but the experience so far has been frustrating. I expected better quality and customer service. Read moreSunday I ordered beds and mattresses to be delivered Monday. The mattresses were being advertised for $20 as scratch/dent. Monday around the delivery time, they called to say they did not know they were out of those mattresses at the time of my order and did we want to order the $89 mattresses. I went in person and talked to someone who said they could five a discount and was assured the beds would still be delivered the same day. The truck left before I left the store, but no one called or delivered anything to me between 6PM and 9PM. Tuesday at 2pm I still have not received a call or beds. The staff is friendly, but their customer service is poor. They should have taken the loss and upgraded my purchase for their error. I will not be making purchases from them again that I can not walk out the door with myself. (Update): I called at 4pm Tuesday and was placed on hold for 30 minutes after saying I was calling about my beds that hadn't been delivered. When I hung up and called back the line remained busy. They lie they told the leasing company that they delivered the livingroom suite to me which was a lie. I have a ring camera they did not delivered the furniture but they confirmed that it was delivered so the leasing company whom I was to pay biweekly would pay them I do not want the living room suite now i do not trust them. They also turned around and said to cancel I would have to pay a 30 percent restocking fee. Now if they delivered the furniture they would have to come and pick it up. However the salesperson knew he did not deliver it. 30 percent stocking fee is not on the contract. It should be against the law for a company to falsify and say they delivered furniture knowing they didn't just so they can be paid.
