I, too, have shopped Pass It On and experienced Toni's rudeness to, not only myself, but other customers. I echo the person who spoke of the fun, unique finds and decorating talent this shop has to offer, but I will NEVER return or recommend this place. I purchased (and paid for, of course) 2 chairs that I needed to pick up later because they wouldn't fit in my vehicle. Had I known that I would then experience both the death of my husband and my Dad, as well as being hospitalized my self with 2 terminal illnesses just a month later (which kept me from picking up the chairs), I wouldn't have made the purchase. I FINALLY struggled to p/u the chairs today after Toni called multiple times demanding I pick them up (or send someone else to) and then ultimately threatened to get rid of them. She opened the back door and sat the chairs outside. When I went back around to thank her again for holding them, she ignored me. I said, "I'm sorry, Toni, I didn't do this to spite you." She accused me of lying, yelling and pointing her finger at me, and told me I had "OTHER responsibilities". You ARE right, Toni. Letting the buying public know how rude and cold you are is one of them! I will, however, say I don't wish life's losses on you, but hope that you never have to experience death to someone else's satisfaction and that YOU will learn from the way you treat others. Someday, YOU (not your business) may benefit from someones compassion. And, remember, too, YOU wouldn't have a business without customers and, from the recent reviews, it looks like others are noticing. A shop is more...
Read moreLet me start by saying that this is a very upscale, clean, and beautiful Consignment shop. The inventory of merchandise is gorgeous and the presentation is very tasteful. That said, the owner is so rude and has no problem verbally telling customers and consigners off for no reason at all. A simple question elicits a loud admonishment. I have been in this store at least five times but today will be the last. Before I could even get the sentence out about where I might find something, the owner was very loudly and angrily scolding me for asking something like that because after all the store is full of merchandise. In a calm voice I asked her to please stop yelling and she continued to rent even louder. I can only assume that she succeeds in spite of her vile, unfriendly, and unprofessional handling of her clients. It is a shame because the store has such potential and she has a great eye for decorating and selecting quality merchandise to showcase. Many people I have talked to about the store after previous shopping experiences there either say that you simply have to put up with her or they will not go in because they refuse to be treated poorly by her. That there are too many other shops where the owners are gracious...
Read moreI stumbled upon PassIton by chance while waiting nearby for something else, and I was pleasantly surprised by how cute and well-organized the shop was. They had some lovely consignment items that were fun to browse through.
Unfortunately, my experience with the woman at the sales counter left something to be desired. I spoke to her directly twice and received no response, and her “have a good day” felt a bit forced. It’s possible she was having an off day—and we all do—but after reading some of the other reviews, it seems this might not have been an isolated incident.
I appreciate a friendly atmosphere when I shop, especially in smaller local stores, so I’m not sure I’ll be returning. That said, it’s worth a visit if you’re in the area and curious—just temper your expectations when it comes to...
