This is my first Google review ever, and I want readers to know that I'm not related to the store owner and don't know her outside of being her customer. That said, this store is one of the few of its kind left in the extended Pittsburgh area, providing a well-organized, lovely selection of superb quilting fabrics and most anything you could want for quilting at fair prices. Sandy (the owner) is generous; she and her assistant Jan are very knowledgeable--real experts! She provides great customer service; if she doesn't have what you need, she'll get it. She offers regular classes on quilting, machine embroidery, and applique (plus others!), and I've learned a great deal from her. She also keeps a broad selection of the latest Bernina machines and knows the ins and outs of each product. I feel my investment in a Bernina will be well-supported for a very long time, thanks to her support. She also has an in-store technician (Dave) and is certified to service machines herself. Read moreThis little store nestled in Lower Burrell Pa is packed with inspiration, fabrics, classes, a very helpful and knowledgeable staff, conducts open houses to introduce new products, gives loyalty points to cash in for free stuff, has great tech sevice all led by a great teacher and business woman named Sandy Fink. Sandy not only keeps up with the newest Bernina products but can answer any question that you throw her way! If there is a problem she can't solve Bernini gets a call AND SHE GETS BACK TO YOU! She takes her business seriously, but she also has fun with it. I am satisfied with everything I have purchased, including my Bernina machines. Believe me I am not patronizing, come and see for yourself! I thought I was a decent sewist, but have learned so much, and still learning, since discovering her...
Read moreI started looking into switching to Bernina machines and went to another dealer first. There were no machines available to test drive there. It turns out the dealer had decided to go out of business but did not share that with me. Good thing I did not purchase from her. I went to Sandy's store shortly after and was happy to find many machines to choose from. Being an experienced sewer/embroiderer I knew what I was looking for. Sandy spent time with me showing me the two models I wanted to consider. I sewed on both and then decided. Sandy is very knowledgeable and helpful. She worked with me to get the best deal. She is a great instructor and the store has all the supplies one would need. I enjoy the classes and demonstrations she offers. I am now a...
