Simple request I asked him to tune a guitar after installing new 12 by 252 gauge strings the request from the guitar owner was that whoever is tuning it Tunes at a half step down. Not only did this baffle him and he had no idea what I was talking about but when I asked him for 12 to 52 strings he went to the wall that had a hundred packs of guitar strings and started handing me 11 gauge and reading off names that meant nothing after repeatedly giving him the instructions his social anxiety must have kicked in and he seemed even more confused so I was able to pack up the guitar and leave before he put me in...

Don't listen to Aaron Lael's review, the people who work there know their stuff. They are pleasant, knowledgeable and nice to deal with. Check out Aaron Lael's other reviews, he seems to enjoy bad mouthing any business he patronizes. Some people cant be pleased and some people are just miserable, sorry individuals. Hopefully for AK music, Mr. Lael will, in the future, go somewhere else and spare them the pain of having to deal with him. I don't normally comment on nasty people, but in this case, I felt I had to speak up for the good people...

We had walked in on a random Tuesday because my kiddo has expressed an interest in playing the guitar. The gentlemen both spoke to my son in a kind and informative yet firm manner. He "tried on" a few guitars under their guidance. Learning the hows and whys of each one. We left with great information and lots of important things to talk about.
