Free People — Local services in Lower Merion Township

if I could give them 0 stars, I would. I don't like to leave negative reviews, especially for clearly underpaid workers. one of the associates was very sweet when I asked if they were hiring although, I can’t say the same for the other one. I’m truly disappointed at the sheer unprofessionalism of one of the store associates there. I want to start by saying I LOVE the free people brand and most of my clothes are from there. I asked the first associate if they were hiring and she said she wasn’t sure. That would have been okay if the second employee who was stocking merchandise didn’t run from the other side of the store to be in the conversation. she said we are but not full time in the most condescending tone. she also had such a smug face look on her face as if I inconvenienced her by asking that question. weird? then, I’m taking a look around the store because again I LOVE free people and she’s staring me down like I’m going to steal. I asked how much one of their leather bags was and the one associate didn’t know so the other shouts the price from across the room; without even looking at me. as I’m taking a look around, the associate is staring at me like I’m going to steal or something? I was so uncomfortable that I just had a quick glance at the accessories and left. I’m absolutely disgusted by the mistreatment of customers at this location. don’t shop here. that associate was extremely cold with no interpersonal or social skill. she should not be around other human beings, especially working in customer service if all jobs. she should be ashamed of herself and fired. not even a smile on her face.. if this is the best free people could possibly do, then you have bigger problems...

Madigan was the most helpful & friendliest sales associate I've ever met with at Free People! & that's what made my experience at this store very pleasant. I usually shop online & returns in store are so much easier. This store has quite the collection. I think they need to revamp their store merchandise, bring in more variety, maybe even some vintage pieces that we usually see on the website. The king of Prussia location has a bit more of a selection. It would be nice to see more...

I come to this Free people all the time and on 10/10/25. The sale person was extremely obnoxious and aggressive. I simply asked to receive a store credit for my return and it quickly escalated. I’ve never had an issue receiving store credit for a return. This makes me not want to come into the store. Hope they’re able to get some new workers in this store some who are more polite.
