Long Stems — Local services in Lower Merion Township

If you need a florist for your wedding or any big event, look no further!! Long stems is definitely the place to book with!! From my first phone call with Keith, I felt at ease. We discussed what I would want for our wedding and he took everything down. He said that we could always add or take away up until 3 weeks before the wedding when we do a mockup! I went back and forth a lot with his son, John, over the invoice and things I wanted to add and he couldn’t have been any more helpful. Any question I asked, they answered right away and accommodated anything I wanted to add on! When it came time for the mockup about 3 weeks before the wedding, I went in person to Long Stems. Keith was so gracious and then Heather walked me through what they were thinking of putting together! She had a mockup of a bunch of flowers and took out anything I didn’t want and added in anything I needed. After that, they sent me an updated invoice and anything I decided to change or fix they did no problem!! The day of the wedding they delivered my flowers right on time and just WOW. they were BEAUTIFUL!!!!! It was exactly what I envisioned and I couldn’t have been happier. My bouquet was absolutely perfect and they wrapped it in a handkerchief that i had given them during the mockup. I got married at Villanova University and Long Stems had the flowers in the church match our flowers perfectly!!! Aside from the bouquets, the centerpieces and Any other small arrangements throughout the venue were perfect. Keith’s wife, Anne, touched them all up to make sure everything was in place and she couldn’t have been any nicer!! She came up to the bridal suite to bring the corsages and boutonnieres in and when I started to move things around in the fridge to make room she told me to not worry about it and she would do it because she knew I had enough to do!! She was just so kind and I really enjoyed speaking with her. The entire Long Stems team was so amazing to work with. We contacted Long Stems for our wedding day and were not happy with the customer service. We understand we used Long Stems at a busy season, but we felt dismissed and misquoted based on our initial agreement. Initially, we had a phone call, discussed the flowers and received a quote. We signed the proposal based on the discussed bouquets and price. Four weeks prior to the wedding, we reached out regarding our mockup, which was guaranteed from the proposal. We continuously reached out and didn't receive a mock up until 2 weeks prior to our wedding. When we received the pictures, the flowers were nothing as listed in our proposal. The proposal listed all white/cream bouquet, with a touch of greenery, and a bit of lilac. We received pictures of a mostly green bouquet, with white and pink flowers (see first picture below). We reached out disappointed and were told we would not be receiving a second mockup because they took notes for correction. Still unsure if we were on the same page, we asked again for a second mockup. We received a mock up the week of the wedding and they were beautiful (see second picture below). However, Long Stems charged additional money to meet the request. Long Stems should have originally quoted us this, as we never once changed the type of flowers or bouquets requested. Absolutely Exquisite!

Long Stems created the most stunning floral arrangements for our daughter’s wedding in June at Radnor Valley Country Club and St. Matthias Church. We couldn’t be more thrilled!! Keith and his team were a dream to work with—professional, creative, and incredibly responsive to every question and request along the way.

One of the highlights of the planning process was the mock-up appointment about a month before the wedding. It gave us the chance to see Keith’s artistry firsthand and brought our vision to life. He went out of his way to incorporate a collection of blue and white vases that I had brought back from our time living in Asia—this personal touch meant so much to us, and the results were absolutely spectacular.

The bride’s bouquet, the bridesmaids’ bouquets, the boutonnieres, and the church flowers were all gorgeous—thoughtfully designed and beautifully arranged. The variety of blooms, the elegant color palette, and the graceful presentation were truly the talk of the reception.
