Slices and Rolls — Restaurant in Lower Merion Township

We love Slices and Rolls. While we don't keep strictly kosher we will choose kosher if it's available. Slices and Rolls make it an easy choice because it is not only kosher, it is DELICIOUS! There are some kosher places in the area that if one isn't strictly kosher, one knows that they only stay in business because people don't have an alternative. This is not true of Slices and Rolls. Their pizza is objectively good - certainly the best kosher option by miles and competitive with any standard pizza shop. It's not fancy but it's good.

I can't say the same for their sushi - specifically because I can't eat it. I have an allergy to corn and they use rice vinegar mixed with corn vinegar in the rice which even if you don't have a corn allergy gives you an idea about the commitment to authenticity. My husband who has eaten it is not so excited to eat it again. Because we aren't strictly kosher (but avoid eating where non-kosher animals are prepared if it's reasonably easy) he prefers to get sushi from the Philadelphia Fish and Lobster Company which is delicious and which I can eat because it uses fully...

I had a really tough week and tougher day at CHOP (Children's hospital of Philadelphia) and I was exhausted after a surgery day for my daughter and I just wanted some normal food. I arrived at the store 2 minutes before closing and ordered food from one of the kiosks. The person in charge then called my name and said they were out of one of the items since it was at the end of the day. He not only refunded the item but he also gave me a slice instead and continued being nice even though I ordered basically 1 minute before closing. While my sister in law was giving birth I ordered pizza for the 15 hungry kids I was watching myself. I went to the site which never loaded and Google directed me to their toast page. I placed a pickup order and after waiting the 40 minutes sent someone to pick it up. Turns out the store was closed randomly for half the week. When I called before ordering there was no answer and no message stating they were closed. Worse they charged my credit card for a order that was never fulfilled.
