Consign and Design Furniture — Local services in Loxahatchee Groves

We had previously shopped at this store and had good experiences so we decided to see what the consignment process would be.

After 2 days of them having the item and not letting us know price/process I reached out to them and decided to withdraw my item.

To which they had Listed for sale on their website without my approval Hung up my item (which was brand new in box) in their store and threw away all user manual/instructions

I reached out to the owner and she told me it would be taken down but I had to wait 2 days. I waited 2 days and then she told me she still hadn’t taken care of it so to check back the following day.

Again, the item was brand new in box upon me dropping it off to have it “looked over” and to have the contract and price to be discussed.

To end this review, I picked up my item, it was not returned in the box it came in(therefore I can no longer advertise it as brand new in box, or return it to the store for a credit) and it was missing the instructions, along with 2 screws to hold things in place.

The owner was extremely rude and not accountable either for taking the initiative to list an item for sale that was not under a signed contract… what is the point of a contract?

Unfortunate for her, she is running a business poorly and it will reflect on her...

Sellers (consignors) BEWARE! Nice clean store and seemingly well organized, if you are looking to make a purchase. If you are wanting to sell, it is easier to adopt a child. After your items "have been approved" through emails and images, you need to bring the items (by appointment) to the store or pay to have them delivered. The story gets a little more disingenuous following that process. They set the selling price at a point that they claim will make your items more attractive to buyers, entirely at their discretion. Supposedly, if the items don't sell, the prices continue to drop precipitously for a total of 121 days. I suffered some issues which prevented me from claiming my merchandise by "the deadline". At that point, the store now owns your goods, 100%. How can you fail with that business model? I came to the store shortly later to retrieve my goods and was told that I no longer owned them. One of the pieces had sold and I had no idea when, because none of that information was forthcoming. Of course I also didn't share in the proceeds of the sale...not one penny. Had I considered just donating to a charity I would have saved time and money and been left with a better taste...

OMG! This store is AMAZING!! I got a queen sized Tommy Bahama bedframe in EXCELLENT condition. New, it would have been $4500. I have never purchased used furniture before but I couldnt find a queen bed of this style anywhere, for less than $4500, and I wasnt going to spend that amount of money on a guest bedroom! It was delivered today by the nicest moving men. I will never buy new furniture ever again. Everything in this store is in perfect condition. If I could give them and their moving men 10 stars , I would! THANK YOU CONSIGN AND DESIGN! They were so easy...
