Our group of 13 women were looking forward to enjoying our second evening here (first time we got groceries, many drinks at the bar and ordered plenty of food for the group from the restaurant), especially since the first time we were treated very kind and nice. We loved the environment and the convenience of having a grocery store, restaurant and bar which seemed to be under the same ownership — so naturally, we thought we could enjoy our food and drinks together. Unfortunately, we were told we couldn’t eat the food to-go at the bar, even though the menu provided for the bar comes directly from the restaurant, and there were other clients eating food from the same restaurant. Read moreThe corner store, located in Sperryville, Virginia, is a really neat General Store. They have an assortment of general food items needs, fresh steaks, and seafood along with a huge wine selection. We like to frequent this place and pick up some of the various bread loaves they carry. I suggest the Russian black bread. It pairs really well when warmed up with a homemade honey butter spread. We also are in love with the different types of yogurts they have in their cold case.
The staff here is friendly and can help answer local questions. It's an interesting little town, Sperryville Virginia. This quaint store is just part of...
Read moreThe Corner Store is a beautiful surprise nestled in this small, historic town. From the outside, it has a charming, old-town façade—but step inside and you’re greeted by a thoughtfully curated mix of local goods, snacks, wines, and gourmet pantry items. It has great taste, literally and figuratively. We picked up a Nightingale chocolate ice cream sandwich, and it was phenomenal—rich, indulgent, and the perfect sweet treat after a day of exploring. The whole store is a delightful blend of rustic charm and upscale market. It’s the kind of place that makes you...
