I LOVE Wild Roots Apothecary and all that this shop has crafted for Sperryville and beyond. Colleen has never failed to provide personal attention to my needs - this was especially important when I dealt with mild hypertension during my last few weeks of pregnancy. She offered multiple teas and tinctures that 100% helped lower my blood pressure. Wild Roots recently began to offer seasonal CSAs for a very reasonable cost. There is SO much goodness in each share. The last included the Burst Citrus Dream Creme and Rising Up Bliss Spray - each handcrafted product is delightful! Did I mention their assortment of great jewelry?! Don't hesitate to check out this shop while in Sperryville and/or visit/shop online!

Felt like I stumbled into a fairytale! I came looking for a bakery but was immediately taken by the woven fence. This led to "love, wild" community space and fabulous garden by a creek, which then led me to Wild Roots. As I walked in, I immediately felt cared for. There are lots of teas and tinctures, but also beautiful jewlery, home goods, gift ideas, and a ton of beautifully curated books. All tucked under a ceiling of drying plants from the garden. Staffed by delightful people. Heaven! I brought home a delightful book and some hostess gifts, then came back for unusual variegated leaf nasturtiums. Can't wait to come back!

I have, oddly, never been *inside* this apothecary. Wild Roots Apothecary is an EXPERIENCE--One I WILL do again and again. The shop is filled with healthy and delicious bitters, syrups, teas. AND beautiful books and journals. AND candles and jewelry . . . .. My first visit was a class on making bitters. It was led by Colleen. Colleen officially knows everything about herbs. She gently guided us around the garden; letting us taste the plants. Then she let us loose to pick what we liked and showed us what to do to get our bitters started. Fun! Shop. Learn. Play. Just GO and see for yourself. NOTE: Wild Roots Apothecary is not on the main Sperryville drag. It is at the Marketplace off WATER STREET. At the T-intersection right in town, turn to the Thornton River, but do not cross the bridge. Turn right on Water Street for an easy 1/2 mile drive to the Marketplace and Copper...
