Bar Francis — Restaurant in Luray

Nice small cocktail bar on Main Street in Sperryville. The cocktails use a lot of local ingredients such as whiskey from down the road at Copper Fox Distillery and strips and bitters from Wild Roots Apothecary (next to Copper Fox coincidentally). I had the Old Fashioned and the Manhattan, both were mixed very well in more of the Prohibition-style than what you might get elsewhere. They certainly have a lot more than just whiskey cocktails but those are what I enjoy most. I would definitely recommend this place after a day of hiking in Shenandoah...

What a fantastic little spot! We were exhausted after tackling White Oak Canyon and stopped in for a cocktail - and wow. The bartender was friendly and extremely skilled. We all ordered different drinks; the Frosé, the Bramble & Smash, the Quantum Riff… but for the second round we all ordered the standout Fresh Zen Daiquiri. Such an incredible blend of flavors in each cocktail, and unmatched vibes. I’d come back to Sperryville just for this bar, luckily for me there’s a lot of other stuff to do around...

What a fabulous find! Serious craft cocktails made with locally-made artisanal shrubs, syrups and bitters. Enjoyed cocktails, regional beer and fabulous pizzas from the attached RPK. Especially delicious vegetarian options --- hope to be back soon to enjoy those tasty forest mushrooms!
