Unfortunately I've experienced prejudicism judgment disrespect not by any of the workers but by the main guy who is I'm going to say the manager for that store for the most part we've enjoyed shopping there eating at the tables getting coffee milkshakes and slushies. Especially when you're in a hard position it is a good spot to sit down and be able to eat we have met some good people there But today the 14th of November was not a good experience we were sitting down eating our lunch drinking a coffee and a milkshake that we bought there he came to our table and told us that we are not allowed in there this is not the first time he's approached me we go there almost daily to buy our food for the day we spend a lot of money in that store and daily it is a stop that we make so we have what we need for the day. We've never experienced anything like this today was the second day second time that he has approached me the first time I was alone with my puppy who is nearly the size of my hand and does not make a sound he is my emotional support dog and he told me I had to leave the store with that dog he made me feel very uncomfortable in the way he approached me was very unprofessional and very uncomfortable he made me feel some kind of way like he spotted me out judged me and made me leave with my dog today we were there and thank God my kid's father was with me because the way he approached me he was very disrespectful and very rude with the way he approached us and spoke to us like we were not good enough to be in that store and that we did not belong there. We have never done anything wrong in that store he told us we are not allowed in there is that cannot be possible we go in there daily and buy our food we have never done anything wrong in that store for that man to approach Us in that manner it was a very highly disrespectful and uncomfortable going to get in touch with the main corporation of market basket no one should have to feel like that going to supermarket if he does not like us for whatever reason that is his problem not our problem. I could see if we had done something wrong in the past but we never have so the way he made us feel should not be allowed in our world today. Thank you for reading and I hope this does not happen to anybody else whatever I have gone through in my past is something I have to deal with it is none of his business as long I have never disrespected that store in any kind of way or should not be approached in that manner whatsoever. And nor should...
Read moreI'm generally not a big fan of Market Basket, but I thought I'd give it a chance since this store was new and built from the ground up. The store is very clean and aesthetically pleasing. I was concerned during the build process that traffic would become worse, but there are multiple entranced, so it appears it won't be as big of an issue as I thought. My biggest concern stemmed from my visits to other Market Baskets. It always seemed that the aisles were too small and there were constant shelf stocking, making it virtually impossible to navigate through the stores. This particular branch has much larger aisles, unfortunately they still suffer from clogged aisles due to stocking the shelves during busy hours. In fact one of the aisles I went had an employee with two pallets of stock as well as a carriage of items, which were placed in such a way that customers could not navigate the aisle. I and other customers had go down one end and the n go to the next aisle to come back down the blocked aisle from the other end just to shop. To top it off, both pallets and the carriage were also blocking entire sections of products so that customers had to contort themselves to reach the products. This shopping trip was very frustrating and infuriating. Although they have very low prices compared to other local supermarkets, the gymnastics to shop there make it not worth the trip. In conclusion, I may visit there sparingly, but I would rather spend more money at another super market than deal with the...
Read moreIt was amazing when they built this Market Basket. The Lynn, Revere and Chelsea store were my favorites. Back when Covid began, they lost my respect. It was terrible to be bullied by men in black trench coats "telling me"I could not bring my purse inside the store, "that I had to leave it outside in a bin".
I never, ever went back. I started going to the one in Revere, much more kind, respectful and understanding of the situation. Lynn, Massachusetts Market Basket, you lost my respect and patronage.
Other than that the store is clean, easy to find what you need. Aisles were a little narrow for such a busy store.
After work the Italian sandwich they made for me was delicious. Some nights, traveling home from Boston, would get home late and wanted something delicious and inexpensive. The hot meals are delicious too.
I know I am repeating myself, but I never went back and that was in 2019. Treating people with respect keeps them coming back. Very much missing that aspect of responsibility as a business. Enough said about that.
Market Basket in itself is a great, local owned business. Thank you for taking care of your employees. I've heard good things about your company taking care of...
