Such a terrible experience trying to just consider registering, that I am now no longer interested. I called to make an appointment with an academic adviser. I was put on hold for 20 mins without ever speaking to a human or given any other option. After 20 minutes, I hung up and called the main number. She said, "well, I can't do much, but they have direct number I can transfer you to." So, she transferred me. To some random faculty member in some department I had no interest in. That person was very nice and told me she'd walk my request over, and have someone call me back from advising. They did call me back to set up an appointment, which we did. However, I was driving and couldn't write down the details, so she assured me she would email me all the info. Of course, I never received the info. So, I just called to cancel my appointment.
The overwhelming impression I got was one of incompetence, inefficiency, and that the right had didn't know what the left had was doing. Oh, and it's a half hour wait on the phone to even speak to the right hand.
I was a new student, contemplating studying here. But after the way I was dealt with on the phone on my very first interaction, I now have ZERO interest in attending, and will continue my search for a school that has its act together, and knows what they are doing. That would seem to be a better indicator of a...
Read moreI’ve been loyal to Edmonds college since forever and i have never left a bad review however today that has completely changed. I used to work here and during my time everything was wonderful. The help that was needed was always there and we’ve really always focused on students, no matter what or where they were coming from. Cut to the chase, I visited today after a couples of years since I’ve graduated Edmonds. All I wanted to do was to get more information about some programs my husband was interested in and I had a lot of questions about it and some other basic questions. I KID YOU NOT the front desk or whatever they put in the admissions office was so unprofessional and not even directing where to go besides saying I need to “lookup online” I already did so and that’s why I was here in the first place. The fact that I asked if there was any pamphlet or something else that could answer basic questions cause it did not seem like the really cared about what I was doing and I wanted leave immediately. I was directed into ESL and printing out a dialog for a random program…first off rude to assume I need ESL and I’ve mentioned this a couple times that it was for my husband and not me, unprofessional. Edmonds College really went...
Read moreI was quite disappointed in this college. In orientation they made it seem like they are there for you but when something goes wrong, they ignore the situation. First, I took CPR for no reason in which I should have taken it close to getting into the program not in the beginning. I had Ms. Patterson for Allied Health, and I was really disappointed in her behavior. She was mad disrespectful and rude. I came to class really late ONLY ONE TIME because I got the time confused and I went up to her to apologize. She put her hand in front of my face and wasn't even polite to say please wait. She had the nerve to criticize how I write making rude comments instead of talking to me like an actual instructor. You can tell she doesn't like Hispanics in general. She treated everyone else with respect the whole time. I was ready to come at her but due to her age I respect my elders. I am thinking twice about finishing my credits and getting into the program. I paid out of pocket to be treated like this. shake my head Edmonds! And let's not talk about the people at the book store, more rude people! do better Edmonds.
PLEASE DON'T LIE TO STUDENTS IN ORIENTATION IF YOU ARE NOT WILLING TO DO THINGS THE CORRECT WAY AND MAKE...
