Really want to like this place, and for the most part I do. The menu has enough variety and the food is decent, but it's probably not gonna knock your socks off. The Reuben I had last time was pretty solid. The staff is nice and I've never had a problem with getting enough attention.
Upstairs has huge potential, but please make up your mind regarding the pool table area. Looks like it was originally gonna be a place for live music (bunch of power outlets on the wall). 2 brand new pool tables are situated nicely with lots of room, but NO LIGHTING. Track lighting above was all pointed at the projector screen. Big screen projectors can have enough problem with the image quality, even without four super bright lights pointed right at it. Very odd. Plus if your standing there waiting for a shot, it's like your in the spot light. Please ditch the projector (there's like 20+ big screens up there already!) and hang some real pool table lights. Or maybe the table lights can be raised for big sporting events? I see signs for pool league play, but nobody will embrace it with that crappy lighting.
Also, parking is not great while the surrounding businesses are still open, but it is doable.
Keep it going...
Read moreI was a little skeptical about this place from the outside, but once you walk in, you've stepped into one of the best bars in the Lynnwood / Edmonds area. Great beer selections and surprisingly good food are the pillars this place works off of. Plus, if you can catch their upstairs when it's open, you get access to some killer bar games and patio area.Despite the following 2 recommendations, it still gets a 5 stars from me.
There are 2 things however that would set this place over the top.
1.) I feel like their bartenders / wait staff are constantly getting run over when it's busy. Can lead to some long wait times to get your drinks / food. More staff ftw. This usually isn't an issue, except for during Seahawk games.
2.) Upstairs being open more often. You can only head up there on Fri / Sat nights, and sometimes on Sundays? They have an awesome pool table and dart board setup that i rarely get to use. I would come here way more often if I could use those each time I came, instead of once in a while. Also, put some speakers in the back room with the darts, it gets kinda quiet back there as the music doesn't play back there. Again,...
Read moreThree stars being generous. After reading the great reviews we were excited to go. Upon entering the bar is clean and on the small side. We sat at the bar and was not acknowledged for 5 minutes. When she did greet us she didn’t smile or say hello simply asked what we were drinking. After seeing a picture of what their Bloody Mary’s looked like I ordered one. The heavily garnished one I saw in the pictures never came. She asked me if I wanted salt. I said yes and she grabbed a salt shaker from a table. What I received was a vodka and tomato juice with a lime enough said. She never offered us a menu, we had to ask. Let’s move on to the food. I ordered the prime rib dip which was a huge bun…I am talking the top alone 2 inches. The inside consisted mostly of sautéed onions and barely any beef. The filling was about as thick as a regular McDonald’s hamburger if you get what I’m saying. The Rueben was tasty but again hardly any meat. I’d like to know where all those great pictures and reviews came from because we certainly didn’t experience it. In conclusion this was...
