I enjoy getting points with my free Kroger card for all my purchases. I then use the points to reduce my price per gallon of gasoline. I can use points at Kroger or Shell stations. As far as the store, or any Kroger store, I find it difficult to find some items. Merchandise is a lot of times in a location you would least expect it. The self checkout is a pain for me almost every time. The checkout systems in place are slow and repeatedly will freeze up because the scale didn't pick up the correct weight. Also, if you skip bagging, a candy bar as an example, the entire system will freeze sometimes for you to then wait on an employee---who is apparently upset with you and the outdated check out system. You sometimes have such an issue with the system, that an employee has to come over and physically count and check off on the register each scanned item. I had to wait not once, but twice during 1 checkout. The second hand count was immediately after the first. The employee had to be kidding I thought when she stated she had to hand count each item again. I offered that we just look to see what new items had scanned. She actually hand counted each item again!!! I felt my time was far more valuable than a box of macaroni and cheese! Not to mention, the employee monitoring the self check out definitely had some personal hygiene issues because her very oily hair was obviously not brushed. The next issue is the produce department---no different than what I have seen at any Kroger---is not one I shop at all. What is displayed isn't the quality I am accustomed to at other big brand supermarkets. In the past, when I did purchase any produce at Kroger, it would be expired within 3 or 4 days. Last, but not least, the app isn't so great for informing anyone of where an item is located. The app is never correct or anywhere close to it when it comes to informing shoppers about an item's a availability or price. Once, I made a special trip to get an item I needed for a family get together because the application showed it on hand and 5 in stock. Upon arrival, the store has 0 in stock, and no one could explain to me why the app is always so off base, not did anyone appear eager...
Read moreI ordered two cakes for my son's and daughter's birthday which were on the 23rd and 26th of December. I called the day of wanting to check on my order because I never received a call from the bakery. I find out the day of and a couple of hours before when I needed the cake ready that they didn't have the cake that I ordered. The woman I spoke to wasn't interested in helping me but only said sorry we don't have that cake. I had to ask her what could be done before she hung up. They agreed to still make a cake but they didn't have the ninja turtle toys to put on it like the picture showed and I agreed that it was fine. I did not expect this cake to look like this. I attached a photo. I could have made this at home myself. My 5 year old daughter could have made this herself. Not having the specific cake I wanted wasn't what upset me but having no one communicate with me about my orders in advance is what I disliked. Again today I call about my daughter's cake that I need and she as well said they didn't have the cake I put a order in for, and THIS cake choice was in the cake book. I told myself just order a cake somewhere else after what happened friday but I gave them the benefit of the doubt. I don't know what I did wrong Lol.! This bakery staff needs to get it together. This experience was so unprofessional. I'm hoping for some decency when I go pick up my daughter's cake in an hour! My best advice is to ask as...
Read moreIt's something about new stores and the people that they hire from the management to the employees employees only allows so much as much as what the manager allows them to do for you to buy product from a store matter fact for you to buy a bag of oranges from the store and hat and two or three of them are completely rotten and you're rushing on your way to a job then you try to do the sensible thing and call and let the store know so that you can stop by tomorrow and pick them up but then you get hung up in your face by the customer service person and then when you ask for a manager the manager says I'm too busy busy dealing with a truck a truck that can be checked in at any time but a customer who buys the stuff that comes off the truck you care less about then if the customer doesn't buy the stuff then there for the truck won't be there to deliver anything because you're not making any sales my point is that the customer is the center point of all of this equation and to have managers saying they don't have time for a customer the center point of this equation is a crying shame and Kroger's I really do like Kroger's I grew up a Walmart baby but I really like Kroger's and spend a lot of time and money there and today this truly shows me that Kroger's cares about nobody at all from my...
