Payne Mill Village Antique Mall — Local services in Macon

Found a Hall Westinghouse 30 .00 piece on a area that said 10 percent off . I thought oh its still too much but ....I dont have this one . Got up to the counter .the Lady said is this all. I saids yes , I said there was a sign that said 10 percent off. Another, lady sales person butted in an said thats not her area its not 10 percent off . Yet keep asking the sales lady what was the vendor number. The older lady said nothing. I said but it said on the area . Without even looking at what vendor...... She keep insisting it wasn't 10 percent off . Wow really I have been here numerous times and purchased lots . One of my favorite places . Not , anymore . !!! Rude ...ok ...then my daughter was buying another piece ... my daughter said wow ....how they were ....she told me she would never go back for just the rudeness. That its silly thousands of things in this place and she knew exactly what vendor had this small piece . My daughter said "it lost it appeal since we came the last time" . Won't be back . I hope that you enjoy , was it worth being rude ? necessary.? It was an experience!!! We will...

We really enjoy coming here (this was our second visit and will definitely return) as it seems to have everything covered. We last visited in cooler weather and was more comfortable than our more recent visit with warmer weather. They had many large fans running. The visit involves going through 2 buildings connected by a "courtyard" (which has outdoor garden items). The second building has many connected rooms (a bit more disorganized than the first building but has improved significantly since our first visit, so they're working on it). We came away with quite a few bargains. The only downside...found quite a few items we were interested in that had no price. Bummer, as our policy is "no price, no buy". You could probably ask someone at the main checkout and they might call the vendor but we choose not to take...

We were passing thru Macon and did a Google search for "antiques" and up popped Payne Mill Village Antique Mall. What a find! The place is in an old factory/warehouse that has as much history as its contents! The place is layed out nicely and organized making it easy to browse... and it is large! Plan on an hour or more depending on your shopping speed. There is a good mix of high end pieces and collectibles....and prices on many items are very reasonable (shhh!). There was a lot of large and unique furniture pieces that we would have picked up if we had the cargo space to cart them home...but we left with a number of "finds" and will definitely be back...
