Wanted to purchase a large and heavy item. When I asked for help in getting the item out of the store, the male worker rudely replied "absolutely not." I live two hours away and dont have any way to lift the item out of the store, not to mention the difficulty manuevering around all the glass cabinets and breakables. The male workers unhelpful response, "Well it got in here so it can get out. " Very disappointing. UPDATE: I appreciate the response from the antique store and will say more: Yes, we measured our vehicle several times, and YES, we decided it would fit and wanted to go ahead with the purchase. The workers were aware that we wanted to go ahead with the purchase. We had suitable transportation!!! Transportation was NOT the issue. Our problem was the near impossibility of getting the item OUT of the booth, through the squishy aisles filled with glass. I suppose I understand the liability aspect of it, however, that could have been explained to us while we were at the store. Also, It's not really logical to expect a customer to be able to maneauver a large item that weighs hundreds of pounds through a ton of glass cabinets and other breakable items. It would have been a liability for us, too. Please consider checking out the other reviews. We are not the only people who had rather disappointing interactions. I read these reviews before we checked this store out. I was still willing to give it a chance, however, I am sad that we received the same kind of negative interaction that other reviewers...

The mall is very clean and the staff very customer friendly. Large selection on one floor. To see the whole thing takes about 1-1.5 hours easily and worth it. Has something for everyone.
Has clean and well maintained bathrooms.
The only flaw I found was that the temperature is kept too high. I went there on two of the hot days in June/July 2018 and the temp was at 82 degrees. Even the employees were complaining...that tells you something...they even said they could not change the temperature per the owner. Cool it down and customer will stay longer. I left quickly due to the temp and went to another antique shop with better temp.
Also the sign on the outside of the building is terrible and probably has never been maintained...can barely read it...paint it, replace it, or do something to attract customers.
Investing in the sign and A/C will be worth it to get more customers as this is a nice...
Read moreA couple days ago I stopped in and found a Wallace Nutting print that was absolutely beautiful and a Hummel that I'd never seen before. I always try to think about things for 24 hours without buying though, so I left. I just called them and a woman named Wanda cheerfully walked around the store, with me on the phone, in order to find out if those items were still there. I'm not known for giving very good directions but she had the patience of Job as I directed her which Eiles to go down and which cases to look in. Super helpful. Super friendly. A couple years back I found the best deal of my life at this antique mall. A stunning gorgeous fireplace mantle for $200. It's the crown jewel of my home. Haters gonna hate, but I am a lifetime fan of the Antiques Mall of Madison. And...
