First I would like to say that the office staff and the onsite crew were responsive and courteous thats why I am giving two stars verses a one star. The actual quality of the on-site work and supervising follow-up was well below average. I opted to go with Madison Earth Care and pay their higher prices because I was expecting a professional high quality landscape finish (I had three different quotes and theirs being the highest of the three). I hired MEC because I felt that the first design rep. that came out to my home was knowledgable and lead me to believe that MEC could handle this size job and new how to do it correctly. That did not happen... it started with poor communication from the the start date and when the construction materials were to be delivered (we had gardens, larger tree plantings and new front and back walkways put in lots of material), all plants-the wrong plant color varieties delivered, not adjusting the plant costs when they couldn't get the size they quoted and brought smaller plants until I pointed it out, the garden beds not proportionately sized or straight, plants not being placed correctly, soaker hoses put in flooded the gardens and then quality of hoses very cheap- parts of them just severed causing over an under watering in the gardens, remnants of the walkway pavers being thrown off into my wooded area, the miss design plan for one area of the garden lead to a major change to a stone wall and granite steps which they charge for, damage to my existing granite steps, lack of finishing touches especially at the end of walkway left with pointed jagged stones a walking hazard. There are other things but I think you can get the idea of the disappointment. The owner did come out after my request, had a different crew come to correct some of these things, I was told by the owner that since the current temps were too cold to move the plants now that they would return in the spring and finish correcting the miss plantings, I was also promised some general care instructions - neither happened. So here I am two seasons later still having to deal with fixing the work of MEC. This was no small job, and very expensive, I was told this was one of their larger jobs, I would have hope that MEC would have followed-up, unfortunately they have a disappointed client and lost a great deal of future work on this property. My goal was to support a local business and build an ongoing relationship for future needs, sadly MEC did not follow through. Still hopeful...

Spencer has turned our yard into a place where we make memories, host friends and family, and genuinely love spending time. He’s not just improving our property — he’s improving our way of living. Our kids adore him. Our dogs go crazy when they see him pull up. And we trust him completely — because he’s not just talented, he’s truly a good person. Two years ago they did a great job putting down Belgium block around our garden and a very nice crushed stone entrance to our shed. This past March I asked to do a similar project leading to our pond. Rob was out right away and we got the estimate two weeks later and we sent the deposit in. Three go by and I called and the girl she would talk to the person who does the schedule and call me back later day. A week goes by and I ask when am I on the schedule, the girl said let me check and I will call you back Again no call back so I call and cancel. Fast forward to two weeks ago and I thought of giving them another chance. Same old song of let me check with the person doing the schedule and I will call you back. Two weeks go by and nothing, I drive there only to be told in person that they waiting for the person who does the schedule. I cancelled the job and came back to write this review.
