The quality of the food is not consistent -- some nights moderately tasty, some nights absolutely foul. It's a 50/50 type of deal.
It's fairly typical "Chinese" fare, and when the better cooks are working, the food is acceptable. It seems as though the food quality suffers on their busier nights... possibly because untrained people are used to prepare the food when they're struggling to keep up with orders.
It's the only local place in the Madison/North Madison area for Chinese food, so if that's what you're looking for, this is it. I recommend staying away from dishes containing shrimp, because it is usually way overcooked. The pork and chicken dishes are usually a safer bet. Beef tends to be stringy and chewy here. The only reason this place must still be in business with so many other local and delicious Chinese restaurants is the mere fact that it's convenient to north Madison. Nasty, miserable owners, sub par food that is way over priced for what you get. Do yourself a favor and drive the extra 15 minutes for good Chinese food.
Typical Chinese takeout. Don't expect anything spectacular here. General tso chicken was meh. Their pork fried rice was good and their boneless spare ribs were very decent.
