I've been using this post office for more than 10 years consistently. Yes the staff at the death are all friendly but the lines are usually so very long hanging out the door and they are super slow. All the chatter at the front desk when you have 20 people in line is not acceptable. Last Christmas they didn't even set up the Santa mailbox and my child was extremely disappointed. We start reminding them 2 months out and it never got set up even though the week of Christmas. They did put out a Dollar Tree tiny mailbox in which an envelope couldn't even fit inside so I guess they were not even going to Mill the kids the letter from Santa either. I've had a PO Box there for years and can only assume I'm getting my mail but some things have gone on accounted for and arrived late but again who do you blame and who wrote take accountability for that? The price of the pill boxes are absolutely ridiculous. I pee every 6 months and the last time I was there they wanted 80 or $90 from me in total for the Box, to remake achy and because I was a couple days late renewing. That is completely ridiculous and unacceptable to pay for a small letter box. As mentioned in other post they do not answer the...
Read moreI was promised to be able to mail a parcel to Russia on the phone by a USPS agent from this location. I came to the location, waited in the line for about 20-25 minutes, was told to fill out some paperwork and buy some packing tape by a USPS worker at the counter. Then, after doing all of that, and waiting another 10-15 minutes in the line, I was finally told by another USPS worker at the counter, that the parcel cannot be mailed to Russia, and I didn’t need the tape, however, since it has been used to tape the box already, I did have to pay for it. It is because services are suspended right now (I guess political reasons.) Not only I and my family have to suffer because of the political decisions that I and my family personally have very little to nothing to do with, also my time has clearly been treated in ways that are far from respectful and considerate, I would say. Absolutely...
Read moreI love Mandeville post office. On 18 April 2023, tax day, I wanted to ensure my tax payment to the IRS was post marked. I parked, walked in, stood in 3rd position in line waiting patiently for the 3 postal workers to service the 2 people ahead of me. Twenty minutes later, I walked up, asked the postal worker to post mark my pre-stamped and pre-addressed envelope, which they did in less than 2 seconds. The worker shouted "Next!" and I quietly walked away. I'm always in and out in under 30 minutes whenever I need to buy stamps or send a package and there are only 1 or 2 people ahead of me, with 3 staff working furiously to service the volume. Note: the 3 giant mail boxes that are drive up have crime scene tape on them and a handwritten sign that says out of service. I suppose they need the USPS to come and fix the mailboxes at USPS to get them back in service. This was as...
