I moved here five years ago and have shopped at Stella Dallas for the the first three-ish. However, after being in retail and hospitality management for over a decade, and understanding how the industry works. I loved Supporting Stella Dallas, establishing relationships with the staff, however, the one or two times an issue arises with the poor quality of the OUTSTANDINGLY OVERPRICED Clothing and you bring this to their attention, specifically the owner, but don’t receive much help, I fixed the solution myself through my own personal experience within the industry, but I felt a different solution should have been offered.
Then, around the same time I believe, Last June/July /August, I purchased a Lavender Brown linen two piece ensemble that after three possible Wears and a dry clean I’ve just now found it’s missewn on the shorts and will need to be re cut and re sewn to lay flat. I haven’t been able to wear it so it’s been hanging in a dry cleaning bag in my closet. The top will not stay zipped either. Nothing has changed physically on me since I’ve purchased but because it’s out of their seven day exchange only policy, (which while I understand it is meant to protect small business who I ALWAYS try to support,) however If you’re selling $400 white linen short/ top ensembles and someone is promoting your store, supporting you, and has random and unique issues ( since especially post covid quality has gone down almost everywhere ((not blaming retail for that)) but rule #1 in retail and customer service management is that If you can, you fix that customers’ experience. My point here was that after last time, I didn’t even feel Comfortable to ask since the last time hasn’t gone so well. I explained this and asked for a call back but I was straightforward and not nice on the phone. That is was on me. However I will probably not shop here anymore knowing what I know now. I wish them the best and...
Read moreThis place used to rock at the old location by Cafe Du Monde. Used to love coming here in high school, girls who worked there were super nice, good merchandise etc. Now, most of the merchandise is still great and the store is beautiful, but you literally CANNOT walk into the store without being harassed by the workers no matter how many times you tell them you’re just looking. Sometimes I want to go in but absolutely DREAD it because I know inevitably, they are going to put 10 expensive clothing articles in my dressing room (that I didn’t ask for) as well as tell me to try them on and show it to them. This makes people who can’t afford it or just don’t like/want the stuff feel really bad about it! I understand the owner/manager has the girls do this to sell more, but trust me- EVERYONE I know feels this way and your customers will have a way more comfortable experience if y’all tone this down! No one should get nervous/anxious before walking into a store where they really want to purchase things-just don’t want to feel forced or have someone breathe...
Read moreI first found Stella Dallas and sister store, Denim Bar, about 6 years ago on instagram. I loved the clothing photos, and placed and order. My order arrived in Oklahoma beautifully packaged with a handwritten “thank you” from the employee who pulled and packed my order. I immediately was impressed and felt like a valued customer, especially in the day and age of not much personal touch and lowered customer service expectations. Over the past 6 years, I have placed many online orders, instagram orders, orders via telephone, and have always had great experiences. Being a small business owner myself, I see the amount of sweat equity that is put into both of Jade, the owners, brands- Stella Dallas and Denim Bar, by her and her husband as well as her staff. I have purchased and returned many items and never had a single issue. Personally, I feel that with both brands, they strive for great quality pieces, affordable lux pieces, that fits into everyone’s style. Go Shop these places, you will not be...
