Short on cash? Don’t know how to cook that well, or maybe just getting started? Looking to eat healthier but not sure how to? Look no further. This is every college students dream. Their prices are very reasonable, making it worth the drive so I’m not spending $80 on 2 bags of groceries at Giant. Though a lot of their brands are “bo bo” brands, they are almost identical in taste, quality and ingredients. Aldi’s offers new cooks an opportunity to learn by utilizing their website to make your grocery list ahead of time, based on that weeks circular. Based on your cart ingredients, recipes are recommended and are often times simple and delicious! Eating healthy can also be difficult on a budget, but Aldi’s vast selection allows you to pick and choose new things to try. The produce is very fresh and seasonal. Pantry items can be utilized in countless recipes.
Don’t forget a quarter to unlock the cart. They maintain organization by having them lock together. When you go to leave and push the cart back into place, you’ll get your quarter back!
Be sure to bring bags to fill. You can buy reusable grocery bags there as well, but this is an awesome incentive to reduce plastic bag use.
There’s so many pros to going to Aldi’s, I would definitely recommend it!! It’s a different experience than your traditional...
Read moreI went to this ALDI looking for a specific product and I went to go ask an associate who was stocking if they happened to have the item. When I approached them, I politely said hi and I had a question. They stopped stocking, turned around, and looked at me with an annoyed face, saying nothing. When I asked if they had the product, she quickly and RUDELY said that they didn't have it. I said thank you and went on my merry way. Now, if I approached with hostility, I would have understood the response I received. As a fellow retail worker myself, I know what it is like to deal with not-so-nice customers and I don't want to be like them, so I am VERY polite and understanding with other retail workers. I did not get her name, but I really did not appreciate the quality (or lack there of) of customer service that I experienced today. It was my first time in the store and it will be my last. Thankfully I stopped at two other ALDIs in the area looking for the product and the associates I talked to KINDLY and POLITELY said they did not have them. The one even told me when they would be getting a shipment in next and the other apologized for not having them in stock. The employee I spoke to today should take notes. I could NEVER imagine treating a polite customer who needed help with...
Read moreWe just moved here and this was my first time shopping at Aldi. I was amazed at how great and reasonably priced everything all was. Honestly, in shock. Lol. But we bought these Priano sausage tortellini (in the open fridge section). Two of them. One with the date to sell by October 5th, and the other (this one) September 22nd. It’s currently the 12th today, and we bought these not even a week ago and have also kept it in the refrigerator. I opened the package today to see that the tortellini were covered in mold. I was really upset as I was super excited to try it. Decided to look it up online to see if anything similar had happened with other people, and I saw a bunch of websites and posts and reviews of all different kinds from other people of not only the same product I bought, but a bunch of other foods/products sold by Aldi with mold. Apparently it’s a “thing” there. Anyways, just writing this to say if you do shop there, be cautious and deeply inspect what you’re buying. My husband bought packaged tomatoes the other day as well, couldn’t even eat them because they had mold as well. He just threw them out. A shame. Otherwise, I did like the store and prices. But, I guess the...
