Cicis Pizza — Restaurant in Guntersville

Entered the store at about 5:45pm. The order taker had trouble entering my order for 2 each senior buffet because the POS system credit card reader was disconnected and laying separately from the display. He got his "supervisor" to help him. She could not accomplish manually entering the credit card either. To this point both people had been nice and kept apologizing for their difficulty. To this point I had said nothing other than OK.

The "Manager" woman was fetched to the counter and she had issues even trying to enter the card info. They (the employees) discussed that is was the same problem that they had the previous evening about entering manual card info and it was kicking them out of the screens. Finally she flippantly tossed my credit card onto the receipt printer and said that " the system is rejecting your card number and you will have to pay cash. While reaching for my cash, and looking at the line that by this time was out the door, I said "if you want to stay in business, you need to get the card reader fixed as there is nothing wrong with my card or number". She said "what are you talking about" I picked up the little disconnected card reader and said this is the problem. I put it back on the counter with a little spin.

She the burst out that I was "RUDE" and had to leave the store 'NOW"

I left

So, I left feeling embarrassed and hungry to used the same card on a card reader with no issue elsewhere.

This manager is not equipped to deal with the public. Not a voice was raised. after waiting 15 minutes to pay, and after her fumbling around and blaming me for her ineptness at entering a manual card number. Her staff was unable to do the task and admitted so. She was not trying to educate them. Knew there was a problem and I was to blame and...

We went to Cici’s tonight. I call it Cici’s instead of Cici’s Pizza because there was no pizza. If noodles are your thing, they do have noodles. At least they did while we were there. 😂 I’d name it nothing but noodles, but I’ve heard another place already has a copyright on that name. They did have brownies, but if Cinnamon Rolls are your thing better stick to Cinnabon…because they must not carry those anymore either. Apple Pizza? Sorry, it’s just Cici’s now. Anything with pizza in the title is out. Pizza was MIA. Maybe the pizza was really there, maybe it was just as fluffy as air. Maybe they’re making it low-calorie, invisible. Not sure. They technically had brownies, because brownies aren’t pizza. The sweet hostess noticed we were confused because it’s just Cici’s now, not Cici’s pizza. She willingly made us a couple visible pizzas on request. She also provided plates for us. We thought we would have to eat with our hands. She’s the real hero. We weren’t prepared to eat like cavemen. It’s only $8.49 tho, inflation hasn’t hit them yet, or maybe it has. Maybe that’s why there’s no pizza. Maybe they’re really getting into the Halloween spirit with “ghost pizza”. Tis’ the season after all. You can’t see it because it’s spooooky season.

There would be no stars if possible. These are the details,so there's no use for CiCis to make it better. I went at lunch today,May the 10th,2023. First off we had to stand and wait to order,no problem with that. They did let us use a 4.99 offer that was great. The bad part,it wasn't worth that. Even though they hadn't been open long,there wasn't hardly any pizza on the bar. It was hard what was there. The salad and toppings were terrible,I had no desserts, so not sure about that. I drank water,although was charged for a drink,and that may be their policy,not sure. All of the above was bad enough. But I've seen worse. The worst thing was the nastiness of this location. I have ran my own restaurant and know this place could be a whole lot cleaner. There were sticky fingerprints on every surface I could see,keep in mind,they just opened. There was a drink spilled down the wall,that looked like it had been there for days. The table and chairs were so sticky I couldn't stand to touch them. There only appeared to be 2 employees. I've been to this location many times since opening,it only gets worse each time. I'm afraid this will be my last time. If I were the owner/manager. I would close this location for a couple days,give it a deep thorough clean and start afresh. It would be so much easier to maintain the cleanliness.
