ACAP Films / Lancaster Autographics — Local services in Manheim

There are a lot of reviews of ACAP Films / Lancaster Auto Graphics across social media; before this review, only two on Google. I was dubious of this place at first because all of the reviews seemed unreal. But I'm here to verify that Bill and his team exceeded all of my expectations.

Firstly, these guys work with some really incredible cars. Rare, exotic, luxury and even supercars have seen the inside of this shop and the magic touch of Bill and his team. Which made me feel a bit more at ease to leave my less impressive Volvo in their trusting hands.

I had XPel laminate applied (the superior package and a few custom placements) to protect the paint from rocks, salt, and the rest of the glorious road debris that lines Pennsylvania Roadways. I also had some Ceramic tint applied to keep the summer heat at bay on my all-black interior.

Quality was phenomenal. I did have to return for a quick touch up of a couple of bubbles in the tint, but they were very quickly and expertly remedied.

These guys are busy, so communication would be the only sleight against them, but they're doing incredible work. Bill is awesome at explaining in detail the why's and how's of what they're doing to protect your investment/hobby/expensive toys. Their work is warrantied for years against defects and workmanship.

We did a walkaround of the car when I arrived, and Bill and Stephon explained where they'd be applying the Xpel, made a few recommendations that made perfect sense (fair upsells as suggested problem areas, without pressure). I explained my budget and concerns and we came to an easy agreement.

Prices are a bit steep, but I did some research prior to investing in taking my car to ACAP films and I believe they're on par, if not more reasonable than most places you'd compare them to. And forget about doing the work yourselves--even getting the pre-cut films straight from XPel, you're paying essentially the same, and nothing will be custom tailored to your car, not to mention you'd be missing out on the experience and expertise of these skilled installers. Think of it as protecting your investment long term!

Can't recommend them enough. I look forward to going back when my wallet recovers; I'd really like to have my windscreen protected and possibly get my wife's...

The 5 star reviews you read about Bill and his team are spot on. I recently purchased a car to which I was on a budget and I did not realize the windows were already tinted (tint had faded immensely). So I decided to save some money and take it to Tint Express to remove the tint and have it re-tinted. Putting it nicely, they butchered the job and could not even finish it. Safe to say, I was very unhappy and I highly discourage anyone from taking their vehicle there. I brought it to ACAP Films and they were able to undo the terrible job from both previous tinting shops and they even tinted the small front quarter panels that no one wants to do. When the job was done, Bill himself, picked me up and gave me a ride to his shop (on the weekend) so I could get my car. I was very happy with the job and the service was great. If you follow them on instagram you will see that they service all types of cars, from the high to the low end. Regardless of what you bring them, you will be treated very well, and they stand by their work. Thank you ACAP...

Took my car there to get tinted on all 4 windows, 2 rear mini-windows, and rear windshield. Told them to match the factory sunroof tint. They said it's probably 25% so they put on 25%. Tint came out very clean. They do charge nearly twice as much as some of the competition (~$150 vs the $307 I paid for my '13 WRX Hatchback). You get what you pay for. Don't be that guy with bubbles and creases in his faded tint because he wanted to save $150.

2 years later and I just got pulled over. I was wrongly pulled over but while we were talking he noticed my tint. He did a test and it came back with 23%. At the time, 30% is the legal limit on ALL windows minus the front windshield. At least that's what the document says that the Manheim Township police hands out. While we were there I had him test my sunroof which also came up as 23%. At the very least you know Auto Graphics will match things exactly!

Thankfully they did not issue me a ticket...
