Hilltop Neighbor's Meats — Local services in Mankato

My husband went to this local meat market today for a Valentine's evening meal. He walked in as the only customer in the shop, and one of the butchers referred to people from Somalia as "towel heads." (My husband is Caucasian, still, he's very angry about the situation)

I'm not going to get into any debates or discussions. There are plenty of positive and wonderful reviews of the products, I can only speak to the awful rhetoric spoken that was inappropriate in both a work setting and in front of a customer. I assumed many would ask the full context, and I was ready to provide the entire conversation. Then I thought, is there really any explanation that would make this acceptable? No. Racism matters. This is the place you want good meat and jerky. One concern that I have is the posted time the store will be open to close is false. On Friday, I was on my way back to Mankato before I head up to northern Minnesota to pick up some jerky from here and then leave town the next early morning. I came to this place at 4:00 pm, basically an hour before they should close, but it was not open since the sign said they were open tI'll 4:00 pm today. Wow really guys? Someone please revise the open-close list on this place so people don't get confused. In the meantime, I'm just gonna call the place to find the REAL time...

Thanks to Google Maps, we discovered this gem on our road trip across the U.S. We bought a couple of steaks that we grilled at our camp the next night. Ohhhh, the tenderness and flavor were like no other! If only we lived closer or could order from a website. Highly recommend.
