I was showered to the nines or I should say tens (!) last weekend to celebrate the my first baby. Block & Rooster did all of the food, and it put London to shame. I’ve done a few high teas and the flavors in the food are always subtle and delicate - Justin made his presentation stunning and delicate and didn’t repress the flavors which were delicious, balanced and stunning. I usually blame my big appetite on the pregnancy but eating 8 finger sandwiches an hour after the party was over is definitely a testimony to his culinary prowess. He’s clearly an artist, and his demeanor was so pleasant and sunny. I’m getting hungry again writing this and emotional picturing how beautiful it was. Wish he had a restaurant so I could go now :) thank you Justin! It was amazing, everyone was so impressed. I’m very lucky to have had such a perfect beautiful and delicious...

To me, the most helpful reviews are whether a person would buy something again or hire a company again. We would absolutely hire Block and Rooster again!

Chef Justin and his sous chef arrived timely. They looked professional and were quite friendly. They went right to work and did their thing. Dinner for 8 was prepared and paced perfectly between courses. Each course was explained, eaten and removed. Every course was delicious and I had some very sophisticated guests.

At the end, they cleaned up and left. It was like nothing ever happened. Yes, a private chef experience is not cheap. But we were very happy with our experience and would do it again....

I had a gourmet dinner party for 16 for my 60th birthday and I was over the top thrilled with the professional level of service and exquisite food prepared by Chef Justin. His servers/bartender were Mike and Rory and they were equally professional and so friendly. The guys set themselves up in my kitchen. We had a cocktail hour in my basement with passed hors d'oeuvres. Then a 4 course dinner in my dining room (served on my china). After dinner we went back to the basement, and when we came back upstairs everything was spotless clean, like they were never there. I wouldn't hesitate to have them back again and highly recommend that you give...
