Sam Vinci was recommended to us by our architect as the general contractor on our home renovation project (complete gut of the main floor- new kitchen, mudroom, powder room, access to house from the garage, new bedroom above the garage, new siding and new roof). We had met with quite a few contractors before our renovation and honestly just “clicked” with Sam right away. He knows his stuff but isn’t cocky or arrogant. He was courteous, personable, professional and put us at ease immediately. It’s terrifying going into a project like this- it’s a lot of money, a lot of time, and a lot of trust you have to put into a contractor to do you right. We’ve all heard those stories - contractor never showed up, contractor left and never finished the job, contractor goes way over budget or takes months and months longer. Without a doubt we chose the absolute best guy for the job. Sam says what he means and means what he says. A huge selling point for us was that he is a “one stop shop” in the sense that he handles it all. His expertise and ability to manage multiple moving parts is impressive. He always made us feel as if we were his only job even though we were just one of his simultaneous projects. The subcontractors he sends are as thorough and efficient as he is. Vinci contracting is also a plumbing company. On staff he has designers that helpes us to pick out cabinets and all the selections we needed to make. We sat with them so they could get a sense of our style and what we wanted. They were so amazing to work with and so enormously helpful in narrowing down our selections so we weren’t aimlessly wandering around tile shops and cabinetry stores! So so helpful to have our hands held the entire way. Sam would give his opinion but not be pushy about what we ultimately wanted. He sincerely wanted us to be happy with our home. From start to finish, Sam and his crew were professional, responsive, and meticulous in the work they did. There wasn’t a single day, not a single one, where our house sat empty waiting for work to be done. And after each day’s work, they ALWAYS cleaned up and Sam would follow up with a text about what was to be done the next day. His communication was unbelievable. He gets right back to you - I don’t think he ever took longer than 20 minutes to get back to us. I still can’t believe that. When I first spoke with Sam on the phone I was immediately excited about our conversation. From a 10 minute chat it was clear that he has a tight process around planning and estimating projects. My wife and I then met with Sam in person and went deep on our full-home renovation while he quickly took notes and interjected with ideas and ways to improve upon our initial plan. His estimate was within our expectations and we had a good feeling so we took the leap with him. We couldn’t have been luckier.

He set tight timeline for our project which was to start the day after we closed on our home. But, our closing was delayed a week and they took it in stride. The dumpster arrived the next day and in less than a week all of the demo was complete and supplies were already starting to arrive. It was pretty awesome to watch the well-oiled Vinci team in action. And from day one through the end of our two and half month project they didn’t take their foot off the gas once. Perhaps the most un-contractor experience we’ve ever had.

Sam always made us feel like we were his only clients and was genuinely excited about working on the project with us. He kept us updated on the progress pretty much daily, sent pictures and talked through ideas with us. This was huge because we were living 40 minutes away with 8-month old twins living in the city with no car - we weren’t very mobile.

From attention to the most minute detail, to the beautiful custom work they did throughout the home, Vinci Contracting surpassed all of our expectations. Our home came out beautifully - far better then we even imagined.

Sam’s final price matched his first price which says a lot. He’s a straight shooter. Working with him was easy, even when Plan A on a piece of the project didn’t go as expected.

Last July my husband and I decided to embark on finding our forever home. We had the opportunity to purchase a home that needed to be fully renovated but were hesitant to purchase. We called a few contractors but in typical fashion no one called back, except for Sam. He met my husband within 48 hours of the call and went through the house top to bottom. Keep in mind that Sam came without us even purchasing the home yet. Not many contractors would do that.
