Absolutely unacceptable and deeply troubling experience. Earlier today, I purchased $50 worth of fuel at this Kroger location. The fuel attendant not only misapplied the payment to the wrong pump, but also responded with complete disregard and an attitude that came off as prejudiced and condescending. When I calmly informed her that she had placed the fuel on the wrong tank, she admitted her mistake but took no initiative to resolve it and was incredibly rude.
I then attempted to contact the store multiple times only to be placed on hold for long periods without assistance. Eventually, I was connected with the store manager on duty, a woman named Tamera. Rather than de-escalate the situation or offer solutions, she repeatedly spoke over me, was dismissive, extremely rude, and showed no concern whatsoever. I explained to her that I was waiting in the heat and had an underlying health condition, which makes it dangerous for me to remain in such conditions. Her response? “That’s not my problem.” A complete lack of empathy and customer care.
This level of unprofessionalism from both the fuel station attendant and Tamera the manager is absolutely disgraceful and reflects poorly on Kroger as a brand. Customers deserve to be treated with basic respect and fairness especially when the mistake was on your staff’s end. I am requesting immediate attention to this matter, and I strongly recommend a full investigation into the conduct of both employees.
I see various reviews stating their store manager is “racist”. What makes this even more disturbing is that Kroger’s leadership as a whole is in disarray. It’s public knowledge that your former CEO recently stepped down following serious misconduct allegations. So this pattern of unethical behavior clearly runs from the top down. If your executives can’t lead with integrity, how can you expect store managers and fuel attendants to serve communities fairly?
I am calling for: • A formal investigation into this store’s leadership • Disciplinary action against Tamera and the fuel station employee • Public accountability for the repeated reports of racism and negligence at this location • A refund or compensation for the $50 I paid and never received
This store is a danger to vulnerable people, and an insult to Kroger’s supposed mission of community service. This company does not care about Black customers, about people with health conditions, or about basic customer decency.
I have filed a formal complaint with the BBB, reached out to Kroger corporate, and will be contacting civil rights organizations and local media next. Enough is enough.
This Kroger store continues to show its true colors and I now understand why so many people in this community have stopped shopping here.
After dealing with a $50 fuel payment being placed on the wrong pump by a rude fuel attendant, I reported the issue to assistant manager Tamera, who was disrespectful and unapologetic. But what happened next is even more disturbing.
I escalated the matter to Scott, the store manager, who not only failed to help me — he laughed at me. I told him I have a medical condition and explained how serious this was. His response? Laughter and mockery.
Scott is ignorant, unpleasant, and without a doubt, racist. He should be fired immediately. There is a clear pattern of racial bias and hostile leadership at this store. Look at the reviews — this isn’t just me. Many customers have had similar experiences.
I’ve submitted formal complaints to Kroger corporate, the BBB, and will be involving civil rights and media organizations. No community deserves to be...
Read moreI’m writing to report an upsetting experience at the Kroger Mansfield, TX location on July 26th. What was supposed to be a joyful late-night shopping trip with my daughters—to buy flowers and balloons for their dad’s birthday—turned into a stressful and humiliating experience due to the behavior of two employees: Mimi and Stephanie.
We arrived around 10:20 PM and everything was going smoothly. My daughters were excited and cheerful. At 10:50 PM, we headed to the self-checkout area. As we began checking out at a regular station, Mimi approached and, without any greeting, said loudly, “No! You can’t check out here, you have too many items. Go over there.” She waved her hand and called to Stephanie to open the larger station. My daughters looked confused and uncomfortable by her rude and aggressive tone.
At the new station, before I even began scanning, my 9-year-old daughter quietly sat on the edge of the counter. Mimi came over and harshly told her, “Don’t sit there!” then walked away. It was completely unnecessary and upsetting. My daughters started to feel anxious.
A few minutes later, while I was scanning and bagging the items myself, Mimi came back and said loudly in front of my kids and others, “Hurry up! Scan faster!” I was shocked and responded firmly and angrily: “I’m not playing! It’s the end of the day. We’re all tired, and I have kids with me. You could be more respectful.” Instead of backing off, Stephanie said, “I can scan for you,” and rushed through the items, dropping them on the counter without bagging anything. Her cold tone mirrored Mimi’s.
When she finished, she said, “You’re done. Go pay.” As I bagged everything, I quietly asked my daughter in Arabic to read their name tags. Stephanie noticed and loudly said, “Stephanie! My name is Stephanie! And her name is Mimi!” She repeated it several times, then both laughed while looking at me. It felt humiliating and childish.
One of my daughters even whispered to me, “Mom, don’t yell at her… she’s nice,” simply because she was scared things might escalate. That moment broke me. We came in happy to celebrate a special occasion, and left feeling disrespected and emotionally shaken.
I’ve been shopping at this location since 2020, and this was by far the worst experience I’ve had. I strongly believe Mimi and Stephanie should be fired. No one deserves to be treated like that—especially in front of...
Read moreKroger Marketplace is located on E Broad in Mansfield, Tx, serving up the community with fresh fruits, vegetables, quality meats, and more, such as clothing items and kitchen appliances.
Kroger is easily accessible in a large shopping parking lot with ample parking for every guest, and they do a real good job in returning the carts right back into the store, preventing dings and dents to your beloved vehicle. I usually come here to pick out a couple of stuff I would need for the week but end up leaving with a whole shopping cart. The deals they have are second to none, and sometimes you just can't pass up a great offer. I would first say to download the Kroger app and become a rewards member to get the best bang for your buck! For every dollar you spend, you will get 1 point, and once you reach 100 points, that is 10 cents off a gallon of gas on one of the many gas locations that support Krogers reward program. Second, you can add digital coupons offered only to exclusive Kroger reward members for amazing deals and offers.
They have everything you need here to get through the week. The bakery is always baking fresh bread and cookies, and they even have freshly baked pretzels. The deli department has a wonderful display of deli meats and prepackaged meals for every working person whose time is precious. They have a great beer and wine selection, where they carry local craft beer and will even let you build your 6 pack. This Kroger has an extensive selection for pet food, and the prices are unbeatable compared to the local businesses nearby. They also sell kitchen appliances ranging from instant pots, cookware, and kitchen utensils. They sell clothes and also have a Kids small toy aisle as well. The ambiance and environment they set almost feel as if you were in a superstore!
This is my go-to store when shopping for everyday essentials. The employees are always nice and friendly and are eager to help and provide assistance when needed. I understand that sometimes the lines might be long, and the cashiers are short-handed, but I honestly believe that's the way the world is moving now with the self check out machines. Overall, it's a good store to pick up your everyday essentials in life and go on...
